General Cat control

 

Hey all. Tinkering around with an old (but newly aquired) 847 and doing what I like best and hooking up computers etc. I dont seem to be able to get any cat software to comminicate with the radio. is there a menu item somewhere that I have to turn on the cat control option in the radio? I see mention here and there googling it about a C+ or C- but not sure where that is.

Any ideas welcomed

you know you need a null modem type connection correct?? which cable type are you using?

Hmmm found the menu and the issue. I had the baud rate different. I made up a cable as per an online link. Once I changed the baud rate all went well....
