Turn that up to max for testing (level from off to 0 to 63) and also the front mic gain obviously if this is set to off.

This is results of the continuity measurements.
I measured continuity between pins 7 and 8 at the bottom of the mic and it tested OK. so the mic itself is good.
I then measured pins 7 and 8 from the cord going to the base and the end that goes to the mic and no reading.
When I measure pins 7 and 8 in the cord that goes to the phone jack to the radio I get no reading.
I tried with the PTT off and down with the same results (radio off))

Regarding the mic gain I followed your instructions with no results (transmits but no audio)
