I'm trying to achieve something that I'm not sure if possible, so I will do the best I can do describe it.
I own both Yaesu FT-818nd and SCU-17 (TNC) that I mostly use for digital modes, in specific js8call. Recently, I managed to use a Linux box (Alsa sound driver -> Pipewire sound server -> Helvun + EasyEffects) as DSP, allowing me to receive clean audio.
When the SCU-17 is connected to PC, a dedicated ft-818 microphone and speaker are made available to Linux/Windows OS. On the PC, I have flrig that allows me to trigger the PTT via software - it works.
I'm now trying to use the PC microphone, through SCU-17 to transmit voice audio.?
Is this possible? Anyone already doing this?
