There is still life on this group. ?
I have been thinking about retiring it, but it still does what I ask of it.
I have a FT-891 and a Kenwood TS-2000 that works well, but I can dedicate 10 Meters to the 747, which I have for many years.
I can't bear turning it off.

My FT-747GX on 10 Meter FT8 today.
It still plays well.
I have continued to use it in this capacity for over 2 years.?
It is hooked up to an old RigBlaster and a retired Acer Laptop.
The antenna is a 2 Element Yagi up about 17 feet.
It takes a licking, keeps on ticking.

HI PAUL....I still have my ft747 and fp757hd supply....still use it weekly.? ? Some times it get's goofy, but seems like it fixes itself .? ?It is still a great? do all radio......glad to see ur still having fun with urs.

Hi, Art--

Five by nine here--solid copy!? Haven't been on-air much (okay, none in the past week, courtesy of the huge derecho that pummeled the midwest last Monday).? Power was out for six days, just on about this time last night.

I haven't been on digital modes in years, but when I did, my FT-80C (the commercial sibling of the '747) was fabulous for it--the audio line out is super handy, and interfacing the mic was pretty straight-forward. I'll have to give digi modes another shot one of these days.

Hi all,
This group still alive??
My FT-747GX stayed busy doing 10M FT8, checked into a couple of 10-10X Nets and several Field Day QSOs.
It's primary function was what it generally has always done, 10 Meter Digital during the Spring/Summer Sporadic Es Season.
Thrill this Summer was working 9 JA's on 10M Es on July 20.
I always have taken care of it.
The 50/50 rule, 50% Power, 50% ALC about 25-30 Watts Out.
I still think that rig hears better than rigs with DSP.
Somebody say something ?\_(ツ)_/??

Glad you all finally got it moved.
I will keep the fingers crossed you all can keep it going.
I did not get an Invite, but not sure one was sent.
My ol' FT-747GX is over 30 years old and still almost works. It is semi-active on CW, PSK31 and even some FT8/FT4. It has a few issues, but does work.
I have worked the world with that box. Always have kept it near by and sometimes prefer it to my TS-2000.
I will offer my services as a Moderator if you need one.

? I have one of these, it is a non operating condition. It has a solder joint problem on the filter board from what I understand. Any info of such would be appreciated!
