There is so much of this buying broken rigs and then getting on line to see if someone can tell you what to repair. In it's day the FT-980 was Yaesu's top of the line radio.? This hobby will become much more rewarding for you if you can develop basic troubleshooting skills and solve a lot of these problems on your own.
