Looking for FT-980

 

What’s a good price to pay for a clean working ft-980? ? Best place online to look for one?

If I were to sell mine (and I don’t intend to) I would not take less than $400 even though it’s 35 plus years old and I know needs some new capacitors and a bit of adjustment. It has never failed on me except for flaky vox. ?

about 400 dollars is an acceptable figure
 

I have seen about $400 (plus or minus) for the "working" base unit. The accessories are a bit over the map, with the matching SP-980 speaker-speaker/patch being pretty rare.

In the last 5 years I have only seen two at swaps (both at Dayton) in the US.
