Screen protector?

I've had my FT-60 since it first came out, and have had to replace the screen twice due to my own negligence.? Does anyone know of a screen protector that fits or approximates the FT-60 window size/shape?

Maybe You can buy one for a smartphone and trim the edges with a sharp razor once it¡¯s in place.?

Obsolete ones for discontinued phones will be very inexpensive. Most of these are larger than the FT-60 screen.

I would suggest cutting to size first. Also round the corners so it is less likely to peel off.

I did this about 6 months ago.?

Used an Armor Suit protective film that I had a spare one of.? Available on Amazon.?

I cut it about 1/8" oversized on all sides and then after applying and letting it adhere for a few hours I gently trimmed it with as very sharp exacto blade.

Worked very well but not sure how much it accomplishes.?

I've used these for years on cell phone screens and they're a great product.

Hello?

From what I am reading I am thinking that the screen broke due to something that a phone screen protector would not add much protection. I may be wrong and if I am sorry but I think what you may benefit from is a pouch like this one:

I have two one for my FT-60R, the other is for my FT2D-R. The two radios fit nicely in this pouch.

Best of luck!

I have a similar pouch on my NavCom vest. Mine works best when I remove the clip from the back of the FT-60r.?

I got a custom cut screen protector for my Alinco DJ-MD5 form Photodon: I don't remember the price but I believe it was under $10 a piece. The problem with the FT-60 is that it has a curved screen, so I'm not sure a screen protector will work. Just my 2 cents.
