I have entered RX on 145.990 and TX on 437.800 into channel 100.? I used the instructions in the manual.? While preparing to enter the special transmit frequency, I set SQ TYP to TONE and CODE to 67.0 Hz.? I verified that it really does transmit the tone.? Then I entered it into channel 100 per the instructions, holding PTT down while pressing F/W momentarily.? It did store the 437.800 transmit frequency, but did not store the tone.? So I went back and entered the RX frequency again, this time with the tone settings.? And, I entered the transmit frequency again; the tone settings had been retained.? After switching to channel mode, the tone now *does* transmit.? But the tone mode is also present on receive.? Does this mean the squelch will open only if the 67 Hz tone is received?? Does the ISS transmitter even send this tone?
