Ft-60 powering off on transmit.

My ft-60 is powering off on transmit and then comes back on just like when you first turn it on even with a full charge on the battery. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Is the radio still in the charging cradle or hooked up to a wall wart when you tx? ?This will not supply enough current to do this. ?You need around 2.5-3 amps to be able to tx when plugged in. ?A car charger in the side port will do ok. ?If you are not plugged in when this happens, your battery is probably the problem.

Some radios will do that if there is high swr (auto transmitter protection circuit).? Does it do it with the antenna from the other radio??

Just a thought.? 73 KF4DAX
