Either the PTT switch is intermittent or there's something wrong with my left thumb. ?

Checking into a local two-meter net, the HT leaves transmit and I hear the repeater drop.

I hope I’m simply not on the “sweet spot” of the rubber-covered button. My solution is to use the Yaesu-specified speaker mike. It works without a hitch. I tend to have ?a rubber band handy to keep the mike reliably plugged in.
