DTMF Transmit Lag?

Chris Smart

Hi.

I regularly send commands to my Allstar node from my FT-60, but the fact that it keeps transmitting a second or two after the last DTMF is sent keeps me from hearing the first part of any audible signal back from my node. Similar with linking and unlinking repeaters.? Is there a way to turn that off?

A Kenwood HT I have doesn't do this.

I'm seeing menu items for DTMF memory delay and speed, but nothing for what I'm talking about.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Chris

Your WIRES feature isn't enabled, is it?

nope.? I'm not hearing a single 0 sent when I key up.

I'm just talking about the fact that after dialing the last digit, the radio keeps transmitting for a little while, even if the PTT isn't being held down.

I can't seem to defeat this in my Yaesu FTM-100DR mobile either, so it might just be how Yaesu decided to do things.
