Crackly volume Pot
开云体育It’s not intermittent yet, but I’m hearing some crackle as I adjust the volume. ? How can I get some DeOxit to the pot? Do I need to disassemble the radio? ? Thanks Chris ? |

You will need to disassemble it to do anything like cleaning.? A new volume/power switch is $8.45 from Yaesu parts dept if you want to replace it. It’s pretty easy. The only difficult part is getting the castle nit off the volume pot and the rotary encoder. There is a tool it’s called a “X key radio tool” you need to remove the nuts. Link is below for an Amazon listing that sells them. If it doesn't work right away, file the little nubs a little thinner until they fit.? Yaesu part number for the volume/ power switch below:
