better antenna for FR 60R
开云体育Depends on what you primarily listen to. Any “rubber duck” that is “wide-band” is going to be a compromise. Some are better than others. Austin Condor is a good one as are the ones by Diamond and Pryme. If you listen to services primarily on 800, then you’re better off getting a dedicated 800 Mhz antenna. But even a dual-band or multi-band antenna will do “ok” on 800. However, an 800 antenna won’t be so good on the other bands. I’m not aware of any single “rubber duck” antenna that works equally well on all bands. If there is, I’m sure someone here will mention it.

It takes the form of a piece of wire soldered?to a ring connector just large enough to fit over the antenna stud. It is not too expensive about $30.00 but it has this flexible mast that will not poke you when you have the radio on your hip. It has great performance on both bands in my opinion. 73 Wassim WN6WJN |
