Beep-beep-beep when transmitting

Phill Vanderschaegen All Messages By This Member #18159 We are experimenting with using simplex frequencies for our local ARES group. Tonight we had three members who use the FT-60 have a beep-beep-beep... when transmitting. It's not the Wires beep. Any ideas what causes this? Jim All Messages By This Member #18167 If the beeps are coming through a repeater you might want to check to see if they have the WIRES function activated. Look for the little electron symbol on the screen. If it is on then push the ZERO key on the touch pad so it the symbol goes away.
