All,

I am new in this, I have a handheld transceiver (2 meter) and need advice on what specification for an external antenna that I can mount on my pick up truck. I will get another one for the truck and keep the handheld for mobile.

Could some on help me with that or if there is an old one that you need anymore.

What is your call sign? You have to have a Federal Licence. Go to Diamond or Comet antennas and look at their antennas.
 

I just started this hobby and now have a few HT. After reading reviews I pick up a magnetic mount "Tram 1185" about $23.

If I had a mobile unit, I would have installed a permanent mobile mount.
