Are you trying to transmit on a frequency outside the ham bands? ?The radio has a lot of frequencies it can receive, but can only transmit in ham bands.?

I am not sure what was wrong?? After playing with it for a while, it seemed to be locked up with "save" flashing and a memory symbol(as shown in the manual on page 31--something like "Eun"). regards to? Memory Offset Tuning.?
