Skip a memory channel?
Other than reprogramming a particular memory channel, is there a way to "skip" a channel? Sometimes due to whatever, a recieve channel will have a bunch of noise on it and I'd just like to be able to

Re: how to change repeater input freq on a pre existing channel
Barry just gave the real scoop. I also pulled out a few wads of hair until I noticed that when you key in the new xmit frequency, it automatically advances the channel to the next available one, so

Re: how to change repeater input freq on a pre existing channel
1. Assuming you have a channel XX already programmed in at the correct receive frequency. 2. In Vfo mode tune to the desired transmit frequency, then press and hold in the [F/W] key for one second. 3.

Re: how to change repeater input freq on a pre existing channel
Look in the owner's manual under Changing the Default Repeater Shifts (my book page 20). Look above that on how to set the direction of shift. Also look under Storing Independent Transmit Frequencies

Re: how to change repeater input freq on a pre existing channel
Ok, I have pulled out about half the hair on my head, swearing, that I am totally stupid, trying to change to a -750kc offset shift, for the 145.210 repeater. I have tried to follow the Nifty Quick

Re: how to change repeater input freq on a pre existing channel
You shouldn't have to, because you are saving transmit and receive frequencies separately in the same memory channel. This would override the ARS. The Split Shifts is only used when the ARS can't do

Re: how to change repeater input freq on a pre existing channel
Thanks Mr. Dawson, Do I need to turn off the autoshift feature, between going to the freq in question, and changing and saving the negative offset input freq, and then saving it, and turn the ARS back

Re: how to change repeater input freq on a pre existing channel
Check the manual under Split Shifts, then simply resave the info in the same memory channel you want to use. Easy to do. Jardy Dawson WA7JRD Ham Radio Message relayed from secret Hillary Clinton

I use an SRH 536 on my FT-60 and all my other handhelds. If you get a genuine one it's a great dual band antenna, approx 14" long, it offers very good wideband RX too. I buy the Midland branded ones
