Re: Battery woes
Note that my previous message might not have been clear:
I buy the batteries and charger packs at a Costco warehouse--they are also available from Costco.com and, most likely, other suppliers.

Re: Battery woes
You might think about buying the battery tray, which holds six AA cells. Then fill it with Eneloop Nickle-metal-hydroxide cells. Greater capacity; more recharge cycles over their life; holds charge

Re: Battery woes
One of the best sources for excellent batteries and chargers. It is a high capacity Lithium Ion.

Re: Battery woes
Tried to order but see it is shut down due to owners health. Hope they are ok. Looking at the several ft60 batteries on the list, will go elsewhere, darn. Suggestions for the best model? Tnx

Re: Help me
2 other programming sources are CHIRP (google it) and FT-60 Commander from www.kc8unj.com, both free. The FT-60 is still the absolute easiest radio to manually program.

Re: Battery woes
Green sticker but thr contacts make contact. Cradle is SBH-13. Plugged into power, testing with volt meter to the charger terminals show no voltage. In any event no charge using the lighter plug

Re: Help me
I bought the little “wallet card” quickie manual thing from HRO for the FT60 but so far haven’t used it. I basically use the ADMS software. But it’s important to know how to program or change

Re: Help me
The commercial "cheat sheet" is the NIFTY-FT60R. Ham Radio Outlet list it at $6.95.

Re: Help me
I was faced with the same frustration. There are many fine reminder cards available for free or for little money. But I found that they were only useful after I felt comfortable with the radio.

Re: Help me
Larry,
No worries. Search Google for "FT-60 Cheat Sheet" It's a succinct, simplified reference to programming the unit. I think it will help.

There is a card you can buy that has shortcuts. If that would help. Check DX engineering.
