I have had luck using the following technique with watches and other HT's... As others have said, take the battery off of the HT, then get a Tupperware container large enough for the HT to sit in.

actually a common occurrence there is a bloke in England who has had several (more than 3) replaced under warranty the hot inside/cold outside environment causes this fogging to occur sometimes not

Hi Mike Your best bet is to send it to yeasu to look at the water has probably blown something when you switched it on The radio is only water resistant not water proof I'm afraid to say hope you get

This worked for a really nice watch I got moisture inside of. If you have a laptop, the powersupply gets pretty warm. Take the battery off the radio, and leave it on the working powersupply

So far as I know, the FT-60 was never advertised as water PROOF. Water resistant is a totally different thing. Submerging the radio requires water PROOF not water resistant. Jack, ae8p

In my experience, an external dc power source has worked well. But yes, take out the attached battery pack or you will have a problem. gell cell battery, but you definately want to take the battery
