Welcome aboard!
Here is a fragment from a "cheat sheet" that might help (I think the "pg 28" reference is to the radio's manual, but a newer or older version of the manual might have that on a

operating manual? It's covered under miscellaneous settings on page #59. I
can email a manual if you need one.
I have the same

Flashing "Save"
I was inputting a PL tone and now the radio flashes "Save" and I don't know what to do. Obviously I'm new to this.
Thanks, Christian KD2LIN

Re: Newbie asking advice on programming, batteries & headset
Hello,
About the batteries for the FT-60. I've had FT-60's for years and love the
radios, but the battery packs take a BEATING from the wall wart chargers
and some of the drop in chargers.
Some one

You might want to check out the FTB software: https://www.g4hfq.co.uk/ftb60.htm ( https://www.g4hfq.co.uk/ftb60.htm )
This software is one of an extensive array of similar programs for various Yaesu

My only comment is on the programming software.
Over the years, I've tried CHIRP for a couple of other rigs and was not happy.
Bought the RTSystems programming software with accompanying cables and

Regarding Eneloops, Costco has them in kits. I have bought three of those kits which got me three four-cell (AA's and/or AAA's) chargers. Two of those are in my FT-60R "go bag" so I can charge six

Hi Lyn!
I'm a bit late here - welcome to the hobby. The FT60 is a great choice, as
is the FT70. I have both and use them a lot.
