开云体育Art, ? You have it correct. The battery is probably does not have enough reserve to transmit.? Not a real problem.? If you can’t get a replacement battery from Yaesu, you can get one from Batteries America or another 3rd party seller. ? There are ways of testing the battery, but if it is old, it is probably not worth the trouble or the cost of an external unit. ? The wall wart will not provide enough current to transmit.? You generally can get a 12 v car adapter to plug into the power socket, and with a 12 V power supply with a 12v socket (or of course, your car) or a 12v to bare wires could be used to connect to a 12 v supply. ? ‘73 de Jim N2ZZ ? ? DigiRig for any digital app eg. APRSDroid or WoAD on Android Tablet or a Windows Platform
I'm spinning my wheels trying to get my Digirig up and running on my FT60.? I'm looking for any simple VHF software platform that would be a good "proof of concept" to just get anything up and running.
I've got the FT60, a Digirig,? both FT60 connection cables plus an OTG MicroUSB cord to connect the USB cord to my Android tablet.? I'm kitted out, but can't seem to get the TX function to work.? RX is fine. Even something like a race-results reporter using FLDIGI.? I just need a single, simple success to perk up my spirits. If anyone has a suggestion, and a successful set of software settings -? including for SoundModem -? I'd like to find something to copy.? I'm not digi-technical, but I can follow instructions.? My ideal would be a setup that could make ARPSDroid and/or WoAD work for light field communication.? I'd like to be able to TEXT or E-mail my wife when I'm in remote areas where cell phones have no coverage. I'm all ears, Kevin, VE7KHI |
Re: Lithium DIY Re: [Yaesu-FT-60] FT-60R replacement battery
Good solution also.? I love a good project. Yes, mine has some advantages but all the solutions I have seen here have good and bad.? I hated using the cradle. I have seen a different variation from another person on Thingiverse also.? There are many creative people out there proving that there is more than one way to just about anything. DIY is often not as good as store bought and sometimes more expensive but there is some satisfaction out of completing a good alternative project.

Good point. There is a problem in that many of us, my self included, associate "LiOn" with LiFePO4, with its 2,000 plus cycle capacity. Not the case with what is used in HT batteries.
