Re: FT60 Setting for Wires
That is the 2nd button from the left, Has the atom icon and is the 0 button. Also a Set function. According to the directions that is what you do.

Re: FT60 Setting for Wires
I don’t have a radio in front of me, but I believe you do a quick press and release of the lower left hand button. There should be a symbol that looks like the ‘atom’ sign.?

FT60 Setting for Wires
The FT-60 contains a setting for a discontinued Internet Service called WiRES . We are *not* referring to Wires-X which replaced. it.
The manual on page 61 discusses this setting. Including how to turn it off and on. There is a URL for more information Take the URL and it plainly states this is a discontinued feature. I have tried to turn mine off. It is putting out a tone at the beginning of all transmissions. It was caught be on of our Senior Elmers tonight. I am not able to turn the one off on my radio according the the manual. Any help is appreciated. 73 de KEoZUW John |

I am not sure what was wrong?? After playing with it for a while, it seemed to be locked up with "save" flashing and a memory symbol(as shown in the manual on page 31--something like "Eun"). regards to? Memory Offset Tuning.? But it is fixed now! Again, thanks for all your advise!! 73 Bob -----Original Message----- |

Re: Transmit error
开云体育If you think it might have something to do with the battery that is attached. ?Remove the battery. ?If you have a AA battery pack, load it with fresh cells and see. ?If you have a cigarette lighter, or USB style charging cord you could go that route. ?You can also use any wall wort that provides DC per the manual:EXT DC Jack This coaxial DC jack allows connection to an external DC power source (6-16V DC). The center pin of this jack is the Positive (+) connection. de ZEoZUW?

Re: Transmit error
If it's battery the radio usually just shut off. Check that off the list.. On Sat., Jun. 20, 2020, 1:13 p.m. , <bob6315@...> wrote: Hello: |

Are you trying to transmit on a frequency outside the ham bands? ?The radio has a lot of frequencies it can receive, but can only transmit in ham bands.?

Re: FT-60R Main Board
Yes, I have a couple of ft-50 radios and I have the spring pins for the battery contacts. Those commonly go bad as well as the power button.
