开云体育Hello list, ? I want to share my recent experience with battery power for the FT-60. ?I recently purchased the FBA-25 Alkaline Battery case from the local HRO store and loaded it up with some 2300mah NiMH Energizer cells (12 for $26 @ the local Wal-Mart!). ?WOW is all I can say!? They last FOREVER and I have now left the radio on for 24hours non-stop (transmitting maybe 5% of the time) and I still have plenty of power to spare. ?The batteries charge up very well in the FBA-25 case (although not recommended by Yaesu) on the MAHA C777-Plus II Charger/Conditioner (thermal protection) and read a capacity of over 2400mah after being cycled completely. ?I highly recommend this set-up to everyone as it provides lots more power and flexibility to the stock $65 1400mah pack. ?I also picked up a 12 pack of the Rayovac Max AA cells for under $5 – just in case!? I will probably pick up one more battery case so that I can have 2 “assembled” packs at all times. ? So to sum it up: ? 12 NiMH 2300mah cells $26 12 Alkaline Cells $5 FBA-25A Battery Case?? $22 ? For a grand total of $53 (including tax) - $12 less than the stock packs retail price for 2 rechargeable packs and 2 alkaline spares.? Can’t go wrong with that!! ? Sorry if this is repeat of any earlier posted info / results but I wanted to share my findings with the group. ? Hank Northern, VA |
