The rubber bands they (used to?) have on broccoli?work well and last.
FWIW: I understand the issue isn't that something is broken in the FT-60 but rather that the round portion of the connector you are plugging?in is not quite the correct shape for the FT60.? I'm not sure what the correct shape is....
A nice stout elastic band?
