Re: FT-60 and Memory Bank Programming

Given that you are attempting to perform a "cut & paste", I believe the manual has caused confusion for you.

Maybe this will help: the Banks do not store frequencies & settings.? Only the actual memory locations can store that information.? That information cannot be "cut & pasted" to a Bank. A Bank is a list/collection of memories.? When a Bank is active, only the memories assigned to that Bank can be accessed.

A memory can be assigned, registered, (pick your word), etc. to one or more Banks.?

Here is an example from the display of FT60 Commander.? Some memories are assigned to Bank 1 & 2 are assigned to Bank 1 and Bank 10

Hello Everyone,
?
My FT-60 is proving to be a challenge to program the BANKS, #1 thru #10.
?
The problem? I don't know how to do it! I don't find the manual [pages 27-29] any help, either.
?
In "memory", I have both ham radio repeaters and VHF fire frequencies.
?
I want to move, or "cut and paste" those fire frequencies to BAND 1, leaving the ham repeater freq's where they are.
?
I do have the R.T. Systems programming software, but support for the radio is discontinued, so they can't help me.
?
I've ticked the boxes for "BANK 1" in the software, but after programming the radio, the fire freq's do NOT show up in "BANK 1".
?
Can anyone here help me to accomplish my goal?
?
Many thanks for taking the time to respond!
