FT-101EE: Good RX-No TX

? I have been away from this project a while and I am eager to get back to work on diagnosing and repairing the TX issue. This FT-101EE receives beautifully, and the S-meter seems to work properly in indicating received signal strength. When PTT or MOX is keyed, the S-meter needle (PO position) jumps to the left, against the resting pin. The movement is only a fraction of a mm, but just enough to observe it being forced the wrong way. The instant PTT/MOX is released, the needle momentarily spikes up to around S5 before coming back to rest on the pin. This same condition occurs on all bands against a dummy load. The needle spike that occurs after releasing PTT/MOX is to around S5 in USB, but when in LSB or AM mode it only spikes up to around S1 (max carrier).?

Just hoping this symptom might throw up a flag for someone and help me narrow down the source of the issue.
Thank you,
Vince, KN6KKZ
