Distorted Transmitted Audio 20 meters & Up

I hear that commonly on 80 and 40 metres. There are other sources of distortion within the audio stages of the FT-101 as well. You may need to trouble shoot. Keep us posted on all the symptoms! Todd AL7PX #315 Edited Hello Gordan: Yes, I did have distortion and I figured out the cause. It was my mistake. I was using another transceiver to monitor the audio and discovered the mode setting was wrong in that radio. The radio was a Yaesu 891. I'm not very familiar with that radio. The radio was in RTTY mode on those bands and I didn't realize it. Kinda embarrassing. Anyway, all seems better now and I will continue to go through the radio.
