101zd External VFO issue

KQ4NUO All Messages By This Member #605 My FT-101ZD? (ZSD) radio exhibits strange behavior with external VFO. I took a chance and purchased a used FV-101DM and can’t get it working. I purchased 2 ‘new’ interface cables to go with the configuration. ? Strange thing is that, even with the External VFO completely disconnected, the radio internal VFO digital display just displays wrong and wandering numbers whenever the mode selection push buttons are anything other than “VFO” or “TX-EXT”. The radio display is correct and operates correctly with selection push button on “痴贵翱” and “TX-EXT”. The radio otherwise functions properly on Internal VFO. I have attached a short video of what exactly is happening. (disregard background audio, it’s from my 2m rig.) ? KQ4NUO All Messages By This Member #606 Would appreciate if someone who owns a FT-101ZD could tell me how their VFO display behaves without external VFO connected and when switched to "EXT" "TX-EXT", "EXT-RX"? Does the digital display just wander around or what does it display? Thank you.
