I recently added several FRG 7s to my receiver collection and while both are fairly minty cosmetically one of the units has an issue with the main KHZ tuning drum. It seems to hit the limits before reaching the 3nd of the scale. So for example tuning down towards 0 you might hit a Soft stop at about 50khz but can continue to tune down with resistance to 0. Then if you reverse and tune up to 1000khz you meet resistance at about 900 but can continue to tune until you reach a full stop. So it’s like th3 stops are see-sawing back and forth as you tune from end to end. I believe there is some sort of rotating stop system being used but have no info on how to set it up. The rig I
have?that works normally has sufficient overtravel on both ends of the scale before hitting hard stops..
