YD6016ES connected to DR4088 via S88 and DR5033

Hi all, ?I just wanted to check that my understanding of how to correctly connect two YD6016ES units to a DR4088LN with a DR4088/S88N with the two YD6016ES units having power provided from a DR5033 booster is correct.

?

The DR5000 is currently running Digikeijs firmware (1.5.5 from memory) ?but will be upgraded with the YD9401 chip as soon as possible.

?

I’ve attached a PDF showing my understanding of how I believe this should be accomplished.??Can anyone either confirm this please or advise what needs to change as I don’t want to risk powering the units up and going bang!?

?

Apologies in advance if I’ve broken any rules attaching a PDF.

Nope,?

won’t work this way. You connected the cable between 4088 and 6016 on both ends to s88-IN.

you’d better make your schematic better, by rotating both YD6016ES by 180 degrees.

greets,
karst

Thanks Karst, is this correct? I forgot about the rules of in/out connections when daisy chaining!

Paul

Yep,

that allright ??

you might want to swap the most right 6016 with the 4088, in such a way, that 4088 is on the end of the chain

Ok, will do. ?Ca you explain the logic behind that please? ?Is it because the ‘master’ is Digikeijs??

Yes,

the DR4088LN does not have a strong 5V supply.

the YD6016 needs a bit more current and a stable 5V.

which is best as close to the 4088LN as possible.

Thanks Karst.
