YD7001 LAN Control
HI,
I have recently upgraded my DR5000 to a YD7001.? Its working great, I was getting intermittent disconnects with iTrain but these have now gone.? My iTrain/YD7001 interface uses a LAN connection, no problems., however I cannot? I cannot establish a connection over my network from the YD7001 Configurator App to the YD7001. I get an error message saying that it cannot establish a connection, when I look in the log there is a entry saying that it could not establish a connection within 1 second. I change the control back to USB and all is well. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Alan |

Good morning.
I return to this topic because there is something I must be doing wrong. I would like to connect the YD7001-E directly via LAN but it does not recognize it. Yes, it connects via WIFI and also via USB, but I don't know why it doesn't connect via LAN only. As I have read in the manual, it is better to do it from LAN. The cable is CAT6 and is 2 meters. What am I doing wrong?. Is it something on my PC? Thank you so much. Greetings, Mario |
I hope this helps. From what I can see the PC and the YD7001 are on different networks. The PC is 192.168.1.80 the number one being key here. Also the PC address is manually being assigned by the PC not the router.
The YD7001 looks to be using a router assigned address 192.168.0.94 the zero being key here.? Are the PC and the YD7001 plugged into the same router? If they are then the PC setting needs to be changed to allow the router to assign the network. If you need a constant address for configuration files and itrain then you can change a router setting to assign the PC the same address each time. -- Mike's Deep Run RR Virginia USA YD7001 command station DR4024 servo switchers? Good afternoon.
The idea is to connect directly from the PC's network card to the YD7001-E without using any router. I have seen somewhere that no crossover cable is necessary but I don't know what I should modify to connect the LAN that way, directly with the cable. Thank you very much for your help. |
You need to give the PC and the YD7001 fixed IP addresses on the same network, e.g. 193.168.0.1 for the YD7001 and 192.168.0.2 for the PC. They will both need the same subnet mask 255.255.255.0. Then connect using a normal LAN cable. Many Thanks Iain Morrison On Sun, 2 Jun 2024 at 16:56, Mario via <mario.chica.perez=[email protected]> wrote:
