YD7001 and decoder pro
I recently upgraded from the dr5000. ?All seems good and I decided to switch over to using a LAN connection instead of USB between my PC and the YD7001.
The unit now shows the IP address on the front panel and I can control trains using the Z21 app on my iPad etc.
I use decoder pro to tinker with CVs for locos in the programming track. ?This works fine with the USB connection but I can’t get JMRI to work with Loconet over TCP and use the IP address that the YD7001 has. ? I’m probably not understanding something obvious but if someone could point me in the right direction…. ?

开云体育Have you change the preferences in JMRI to use the network rather than USB? ? From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Adam Eddy via groups.io

Karst,
I've been happily using the LAN connection for a while now using "LocoNet over TCP" with the command station type "DCS100 (Chief)". It works just fine. I think I got that config from the JMRI website.
However, I've noticed you have switched from "DCS-100 (Chief)" to "Intellibox-II" in your previous post screenshot. Can we please have an explanation of the reasons behind this or if this even matters? :)
?

SOLVED!
I had the connections matching Karst’s second as in JMRI 5.8 unlenbrock and TCP is not an option.
nevermind, this wasn’t my problem…
when using Loconet over the network one needs to switch on the Loconet LBserver in the YD7001 app!
all good now.
?
the log window on the YD7001 app is very useful to see what is happening and what service runs with IP address and port
