YaMoRC YD9401 Available in Australia
I see I can get one from DCC Train automation in the UK .
Is YaMoRC going to be?Available in Australia. The other question I like to ask when the DR5000 is upgraded with the YD9401.to a YD7001. can you still be able to program the DR4018. ?Thank you to Lain with his ?comment to another member in Itrain to downgrade the DR5000 back to version 1.5.5. That I have done, with no issue now. Andrew. |
Andrew You can do everything that you did with a DR5000 with the YD7001, but much more reliably and there are many things you can do with the YD7001 that could not be done with the DR5000. The main one being that you can run multiple protocols simultaneously. Many Thanks Iain Morrison On Fri, 15 Mar 2024 at 02:17, <andrew_pink58@...> wrote:

Andrew,
When I bought my DR5000 last year I stayed on the waitlist for a YD9041 at Iron Planet Hobbies in the USA for several months before it became available. Since then I thought I could use a second control station, one for the layout and one for my study for development purposes. But I was faced with the same problem you are facing right now. All the DR5000's were gone and I didn't find any YD9401's for sale. Karst recently announced a really limited supply of upgraded YD7001's and suggested we contact our dealers for availability. I decided I was being too greedy wanting a second unit when supply was so short so I didn't chase it up. However, I would like to do an honorable mention of Iron Planet Hobbies. In particular I'd like to mention the speed of delivery of stock to Melbourne Australia. 3-4 days is remarkable. The downside? "UPS Saver" costs around $50 for delivery. But I figured if I was spending $500 or so the cost was justified. I know it doesn't help you find a local dealer, but I have only had good experiences with Joni over there so I don't really feel the need for a local distributor. This is not a sponsored or paid plug, it was just worth mentioning. I've spend a lot of money buying Blunami decoders of late and been wholly satisfied. |
I bought one yesterday from the Netherlands. Still stock available there;?
Regretfully postage is more than the cost of the YD9401, but you can¡¯t hold the poor Australian dollar against the Europeans or Americans. Albanese economics at work here¡¡ :-( Looking forward to update My 5000 and go forward again. Now to get my Lenz controllers changed out :-) |

Most countries including US, interest rates are higher and that impacts exchange rates. Unfortunately buying stuff from US isn't cheap and postage just adds. I recently purchased several DR4018 from the States, ouch!. |
Hi all,
I have requested to become a YaMoRc dealer, I run a small DCC business in Australia, Buckambool Model Trains, predominantly dealing in decoders from ZIMO and ESU, plenty of installation work also. I sold a fair few Digikeijs DR5000 units through Marty at Ridgepointe Rail, and have one myself, as well as at our N scale club here in Sydney. Keen to continue that supply if I can! I've just sent off another email to Karst and the team, would appreciate if you guys could get in touch with me! Seems to be a few of us here in Australia wanting/struggling to get in YaMoRc equipment! Cheers, Jarryd Buckambool Model Trains www.bmodeltrains.com |
