Ryan, Thanks! That's... bizarre although they are simplex. Alex On Fri, May 15, 2020, 16:44 Iron Planet Hobbies <ironplanethobbies@...> wrote: Alex, |

You said 'The only known Digitrax throttles that aren't working yet are the (R) throttles when used wirelessly with a UR91.'? Do you have any details on the problems with these? I was in the process of starting to play with a UR91 and two UT4Rs that one of the members brought into the club when Canada got forced into the COVID-19 lock down.? They worked for a minute or two and then the just stopped controlling the train.? I thought it might be a battery issue or the distance the UTR4s were from the UR91, but I have not had a chance to investigate further as we are still being asked not to gather with other than the people you live with. Do you have any other information you can provide as to what happens when we try to use UT4Rs with a UR91 that would be useful?? It is beginning to sound like I may be wasting my time to try to get this configuration to work.? Our DR5000 is on firmware version 1.5.5. Thanks |
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýJay, ? When the DR5000 was first brought out it began life with LocoNet 2.0.? The UR91 & R throttles were already discontinued and therefore weren¡¯t included in the support. ? Plugged in they work fine. ? I have sent them a UR91 & UT4R to work with.? ? The problem is, there is some code issued to join them in wireless mode and it is unclear as to which device sends the code.? ? As you probably experienced, the speed steps don¡¯t follow for very long.? ? I¡¯m sure it is a very simple fix, so is it possible they may work someday, yes.? ? As far as I know, all other LocoNet throttles work fine.? ? Ryan ? ? From: Jay Lennox

Ryan, I was researching the Roco Z21 and it occurred to me that the reason Digikeijs doesn't support Simplex radio (I haven't been able to find an answer on Roco), is probably due to it not being legal in Europe, due to how their ISM and cellular bands are aligned. Not only does their target market not have Simplex radio, but they would have to come over here to test it, or find an isolated RF laboratory environment in Europe where they could legally power up Digitrax Simplex gear, neither of which is probably practical for a company making model railroad electronics. Also, I bought a used DCS240 for a very good price and it came with a flyer for your site. Alex On Sat, May 16, 2020, 11:54 Iron Planet Hobbies <ironplanethobbies@...> wrote:
