After installing a YD 9401 into my DR5000? and dowloading the config software, I then installed it,? the activation message did not appear.

The config software was re installed again still no joy, it was also tried on an other desk top computer and laptop with the same issue both pc are windows 10 latest version.?

At one point I did see serial number but still not working it is just stuck in Demo mode with only the Track power leds on.

The DR5000/ YD7001 has a new power supply YD7460 3.3A 18V.

I would also like to use the Z21 WLAN MAUS if possible.?

Demo mode means no USB connection.

1) drivers not/not properly installed
2) USB connector nor fittet "deep" enoug in the DR500's socket
3) USB cable damaged/charge-cable instead of data-cable
4) USB Port on PC faulty
5) DR5000 USB connector faulty
6) DR5000 CPU faulty

but: "...?with only the Track power leds on...."?? which LEDs are you talking baout ? On the device or on the program ?

I managed to get the YD7001 after many hours work to get it on but having tried to connect a Z21 WLNA MAUS to the YD1001 it did not work .

?

All settings were correct but no luck, also tried a Digitrax UT6 via Loconet T socket that did not work either but it did before when connected to the ex DR 5000.

?

All cables were checked and working.

Also the built in Throttle did not work.

I did that 4 times with 2 PCs same result, may have been a faulty YD9401.

Now given up on it and going back to my old Digitrax.

Reinstall the drivers by right clicking the installer, and selecting ‘Run as Administrator’.

I never received the activation code message despite requesting it, that may be the problem !

Did you check your junk folder.? I had a similar problem.? It turned out I got the code several times but it went into the junk folder and I failed to notice.? My bad but it fooled me for a few days.

Just posted it back to dealer.

Update on my problem with YD001 upgrade.

I returned it to the dealer that I purchased the upgade from and he discoverd that the wifi update had not been saved for some reason.

The YD7001 has now returned to me and works ok so all good here.

My old Digitrax Zephyer worked fine but glad the YD7001 is now reconnected.

But I must add at no point did I ever receive the activation code request message or is this no longer required.?
