YC2 - Update
In case anyone didn't know, the new game is available to order on the strat-o-matic.com website. It can be downloaded on Monday, 2/24. Our draft is scheduled to begin Saturday, 3/1, 10:00 EST. I am going to open up the draft early on an untimed basis Thursday morning, 2/27. At that time, all players showing as eligible to be drafted are final. Please utilize the Google Sheet to monitor your usage requirements as we are drafting. I will try my best to keep it as up to date as possible during the draft. The ROSTER tab will keep track of your team IP and PA's. These numbers are already including the usage factor. The GS should be accurate so if you see anything wrong with your roster, please let me know.

looking to deal
All- Being a tax guy in tax season, and it overlapping a bit with our draft, I'm always willing to consider "drafting now,"- trading picks for players. Willing to deal all 7 of the picks we can move, if the situation is right. I'm looking to add a solid #1 guy in the rotation. My group is solid- Bibee, GrayRod, Peterson, Morton, Stroman, Woods-Richardson, but would like an upgrade. Doubtful I'd move the first two, but others can be had. Would like a solid RF. Preferably 3 or better fielder with a - arm. Can also look at a SS. Filling that now with O'Neil Cruz, whom I'm fine with and can use Cabarello for defense. But with Cruz moving FT to the OF, this is a spot that'll open up. Perhaps Cabarello or Tyler Freeman fill it, but see both as more UT type guys. Let's chat and see if we can make a deal. Tom/Cleveland

Wash Block
We are considering tanking a year to retool. Taking offers on: Tyler Glasnow Blake Snell (sick card) Tanner Scott Cole Ragans Corbin Burnes Randal Grichuk (oddly good card) Tyler Holton I can obviously cobble a respectable team together with those guys, so not a firesale. But seeing whats out there.

#1 pick
I am at #2 in the first round, but have the first pick since a rookie was kept in the slot before me. I will consider trading down. I'm looking for some combination a lower 1st rounder, other pick(s), an SP upgrade, bullpen help, SS. I'll consider all options. Tom/CLE

STATE OF THE LEAGUE - MUST READ
2
I am sending this same email out to most of my leagues. This year, Strat Draft has sucked away some of my love of this game. One thing for sure, I will never run a league on SD again after this. As you know, their conversion program which converts one year to the next, was a complete disaster. I have spent the better part of two weeks in front of a computer trying to fix the errors. What makes it worse, is that despite sending MANY emails to the managers in my leagues asking that they double-check their rosters, many did not. This resulted in many managers missing the deadline for roster cutdowns, and endless emails AFTER the date asking for fixes. For those who submitted cuts on time AND properly on SD, there will be some kind of a reward for doing so (TBD). Thank you to those of you who did submit on time. Next year, I'll have to re-evaluate if I am trying to run too many leagues, if I am just running them on the wrong site, or if I need to weed out managers who do not follow instructions and do not meet deadlines. Ironically, the one league I run exclusively on Google Sheets is running the best of any of them. Effective immediately, this is what is going to happen with my leagues on SD. - NO EXCEPTIONS 1. Cuts, rookie selections (if applicable) and IR designations (if applicable) were due no later than 1/31. Today is 2/5. I will no longer accept any more changes. DO NOT SEND ME ANYMORE. If after doing a final check on rosters, I find you are still over the limit, I will cut players for you. 2. Any players missing from your rosters (I hope there aren't any) are now part of the draft. This may be a tough egg to swallow, but everyone has had several weeks to review this, and I have sent numerous reminders to do so, and at this point, I am DONE with changes. If you're missing players, it's your own fault for being negligent. DO NOT SEND ME ANYMORE EMAILS ABOUT PLAYERS MISSING FROM YOUR ROSTERS. It is time to move forward. 3. I will be updating GS rosters to reflect SD rosters 4. If you find players that SHOULD be available in the draft and are not showing, notify me PRIOR to the start of the draft. These emails I do want to see. Once the drafts open untimed, the draft pool is locked. Sorry, this is so harsh, but this year in Strat has truly sucked so far (THANK YOU STRAT DRAFT). I still think getting off of Flory was the right move at this point based on Nick's last email, but we can re-evaluate again after this season.

Roster Cutdown - 1/31
5
I have been dealing with the Flu-A bug for the last few days. In the morning, I will be checking everyone's rosters. Since the deadline was 1/31 and tomorrow is 2/4, make sure you have no more than 25 players on your roster. This can be up to 27 if you have placed 2 players on the IR. Anyone over these limits tomorrow morning when I check them, will have their cuts made by me.

CHECK YOUR ROSTERS
7
I received the following email today from a fellow league member. I have not confirmed this, but I'll assume he's correct. Roster Cutdowns are due 1/31. Here are some players that have been identified as not being owned by a team. This cannot be right. After 1/31, these players (and potentially others) will be part of the draft. In the StratDraft list of available draftees there appear to be some discrepancies. This is not an exhaustive list. I did my cross referencing with Flory. I hope they are available but I doubt it Guys that look like they are on a team but are listed as available: Juan Soto Michael Busch Sean Manaea Chris Sale Simeon Woods Richardson Carlos Santana Frankie Montas Ryan Yarbrough AJ Puk Spencer Horwitz Dylan Carlson Miguel Vargas DL Hall

Rays have roster space open
If you need to cut players, I'm looking to deal one of my players for two or more of your cuts (depending on who they are). I'm in rebuilding mode, so not looking for good cards for this year. Early bird gets the worm. Tampa Bay

YC2 Update
Strat Draft's conversion program left a lot to be desired this year. I have literally done at least 100 corrections based on emails from managers in my leagues. PLEASE VERIFY YOUR ROSTERS. Our draft is scheduled for Saturday, 3/1. I'm going to let the draft begin untimed a little earlier, probably Thursday, 2/27. If there are any players missing from the draft in Strat Draft, you must report it PRIOR to the draft starting (2/27). Once the draft begins, the player pool is locked. Roster Cutdown Day is 1/31. Cuts MUST be made on Strat Draft. Rookies and IR players are due by 1/31 as well. Rookies and IR Roster - Please make sure your rookie selections and IR designees are showing on the 2025 Tab in GS. The number of IR players there updates the number of protects you are allowed on the 2025 Tab. There appears to be several teams who have not yet claimed any rookies or designated anyone for the IR. There are also several reports of players showing up multiple times on their rosters, as well as players missing from the bottom of the My Competition screen which displays YTD stats. I'm going to try to keep rosters and stats current on the GS, but no promise on when yet. Ken

SD Conversions
All my leagues have been converted to the 2024 players. Please check your rosters. I am very disappointed in the number of errors that have occurred to this point with the SD Conversion process. If you see a player listed twice on your roster, there's no need to let me know about that. It's a bug in SD. There are also a number of players that are not appearing on the lower part of the page under My Competition, which is where the current YTD stats are. This is also a bug in SD, and no need to report this. What you should let me know though is if any player MISSING from your roster. 1. If you are protecting an uncarded player, they will NOT be shown on SD now. I will have to add them as Auxiliary players next week when I get back home. Make sure that you account for them in the number of protected players you're keeping and remember not to double-count any players that may be appearing twice on your roster. REMINDER: Protects are due in 8 days, 1/31.
