YC2 Update
Strat Draft's conversion program left a lot to be desired this year. I have literally done at least 100 corrections based on emails from managers in my leagues. PLEASE VERIFY YOUR ROSTERS. Our draft is scheduled for Saturday, 3/1. I'm going to let the draft begin untimed a little earlier, probably Thursday, 2/27. If there are any players missing from the draft in Strat Draft, you must report it PRIOR to the draft starting (2/27).? Once the draft begins, the player pool is locked.
?
Roster Cutdown Day is 1/31. Cuts MUST be made on Strat Draft. Rookies and IR players are due by 1/31 as well.
?
Rookies and IR Roster - Please make sure your rookie selections and IR designees are showing on the 2025 Tab in GS. The number of IR players there updates the number of protects you are allowed on the 2025 Tab. There appears to be several teams who have not yet claimed any rookies or designated anyone for the IR.
?
There are also several reports of players showing up multiple times on their rosters, as well as players missing from the bottom of the My Competition screen which displays YTD stats.
?
I'm going to try to keep rosters and stats current on the GS, but no promise on when yet.

Re: YC2 Innings if you need some extra
The view from Cleveland. Sitting at the bottom of the standings, I have no where to go but up (well, I could be one spot worse, so....).? Am going to get into scouting mode for the draft. I know who I'd take #1, but won't say here. I have 3 that I'd consider at #2 before diving in deeper.?? Unless someone wants one of these guys for a 9th rounder, I'm cutting: Carlos Carrasco Dylan Dodd Javy Guerra Corey Kluber Jackson Rutledge Garrett Whitlock. Likely go, but one or two may stay: Dylan Carlson Sam Huff Nick Fortes Mitch Haniger Sam Hentges Eli Morgan Gavin Sheets Amed Rosario ( a few guys worth keeping there, just haven't for sure determined who, make offers and I'll weigh them in my decision making) Keepers P's: Tanner Bibee\ Alexis Diaz Alex Faedo DL Hall Charlie Morton David Peterson Grayson Rodriguez Simeon Woods-Richardson Position players: Alec Burleson Jose Cabarello Jake Cronenworth O'Neill Cruz Freddy Fermin Tyler Freeman Ivan Herrera Isiah Kiner-Falefa Tyler O'Neill Jose Ramirez Vlad Guerrero Marcus Semien Jose Tena Daulton Varsho Trade thoughts..... I'd like to add another OF.? Don't see me moving O'Neill, Varsho or Burleson, but would like someone?else playable out there.? Would like to add a solid bullpen arm, either handed.Could deal a catcher, though Fermin-Herrera is nice.? But could then keep Fortgest perhaps.? They all hit RH, don't know that I keep all 3, but one could be had in the right deal.? Could deal Kiner-Falefa as a UT guy. Might consider trading down in the second round, pretty sure I'm standing pat in the first. I don't know that I can be a worst to first type of team but have a solid 1-7 in the lineup with some pop and speed, and 4 playoff worthy SP's with a 5th who shouldn't?get rocked, so would think I could contend for a playoff spot. Bench is flexible, with multiple guys in multiple spots. Let's talk trade. Tom/CLE On Thu, Jan 9, 2025 at 10:07?AM Greg and Amy Dickkut via <agdickkut=[email protected]> wrote:

SD Conversions
All my leagues have been converted to the 2024 players. Please check your rosters. I am very disappointed in the number of errors that have occurred to this point with the SD Conversion process. If you see a player listed twice on your roster, there's no need to let me know about that. It's a bug in SD. There are also a number of players that are not appearing on the lower part of the page under My Competition, which is where the current YTD stats are. This is also a bug in SD, and no need to report this. What you should let me know though is if any player MISSING from your roster.
?
1. If you are protecting an uncarded player, they will NOT be shown on SD now. I will have to add them as Auxiliary players next week when I get back home. Make sure that you account for them in the number of protected players you're keeping and remember not to double-count any players that may be appearing twice on your roster.
?
REMINDER: Protects are due in 8 days, 1/31.? |
IMPORTANT UPDATE
The SD site has just converted from the 2023 players to the 2024 players. This means I need to restore files and check recent transactions to insure everything is correct. Unfortunately, this occurs at a time that I had to travel to Michigan for 5 days because of a gravely ill brother-in-law. Please do not send condolences. I'll be back Saturday night and then have an all-day pool tournament on Sunday. So it may be as late as Monday that I will have everything back up and accurate.

Re: YC2 Update
UPDATE: Just reminding everyone again that 1/31 is the deadline for cuts, rookie claims, and IR designations. The full SOM ratings were released for sale ($17 to download) yesterday on their website. Rosters may not be over 25 by 1/31. IR players do not count towards your 25. You may protect less to utilize more of your draft picks. |

开云体育Ken, ? MIA (YC2) cuts are S. Gipson-Long & N. Pratto. MIA 2 on the IR are O. Basabe & J. Moran ? This should leave me with 25 players plus 2 on IR (unless I decide to keep a rookie) according to the SD roster. ? ----- John Smith Carbondale, IL ----- ? League Resources
I have put the links to our Google Sheet in Strat Draft (SD), along with the help instructions I created for how to make cuts, trades, etc. These are two separate files that can found in SD under Front Office, League Office, League Files. Please do not email me asking for a link to the Google Sheet. I have given it out so many times already, and now it will be in SD as well. |
Re: Important Update
The maintenance of the ROSTER tab on the Google spreadsheet has become a nightmare to maintain, and I will no longer be maintaining it. The Google sheet will now be used for everything EXCEPT the rosters. Those can be found in StratDraft. Those looking for the 2024 stats for all teams can find them under Draft Views, View My Competition.
?
The 2024 stats, and the 2025 YTD stats can be found here once the new season starts, ALL THE WAY AT THE BOTTOM of this page.

Important Update
All,
?
Just want to make some important points and remind everyone of upcoming deadlines.?The first two are requests from me to you. PLEASE...
?
1) When sending me emails with questions or any type of league issue, PLEASE include which League and Team you are asking about. I'm flattered that some of think I can remember the exact league and team you manage, but I run seven leagues. Trust me, I cannot remember.
?
2) I am getting some emails in most of my leagues complaining about the volume of emails coming through. This was a common problem on the Flory site because there was a simple feature called 'Trading Block' which allowed a manager to send out emails as often as they liked to the entire league about what players they were interested in trading. Please respect your fellow managers and do not abuse the IO Group for this. Managers do not like getting the same emails over and over again. If this problem doesn't resolve itself, I will reluctantly put a rule in place to discourage this :(
?
3) I have been putting a ton of work into the Google Sheet. I am trying to standardize it across all my leagues. In addition to the ROSTER tab, which all leagues have now, I will be creating tabs for 'Batters in Draft' and 'Pitchers in Draft'. Some leagues already have this and the others I am still working on. These tabs will be updated as I record your cuts. My plan is to keep all current YTD stats updated on the ROSTER tab. This will ease some of the pain for those of you who loved that feature on Flory (I know I did).
?
4) STRATDRAFT takes precedence over the Google Roster tab as far any player discrepancy goes. Please check and make sure your team is correct. The Roster tab is only there for your convenience and to help you plan, manage, and monitor your team.?
?
5) Once the deadline for player cuts or protected player lists has passed, there will be no further corrections to rosters in SD. What does this mean? If you have a player like Ohtani, Soto, etc., and they are not showing on your team, they will not be put on your team. There has to be a final date for corrections. Check your rosters sooner than later.?
?
UPCOMING DEADLINES
?
1)?Final Roster Cutdown is 1/31. This is a little more than 6 weeks away. Please make your cuts on the StratDraft site. If you have any trouble doing this, refer to the SD Help tab on the Google sheet for instructions. Your player count is tracked on the Rosters tab with your team. Maximum protected players are 25. Also keep the rookie protects coming as well as your IR list. See the rules regarding the criteria for IR players. A rookie counts as part of the 25, IR players do not.
?
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone.

Update
I have added a ROSTERS tab on the Google Sheet showing everyone's rosters, stats, and total IP and PA (including our factor). StratDraft will always take precedence over the Google Sheet as far as roster accuracy. If you see any problems with your roster on Google, please let me know and I'll fix it. |
Update
The following is an update on the future of the Flory site. Although we chose not to use it this year, a know a lot of you are still in leagues that use it and may not have received his latest update. Here it is (edited for spelling errors). Key comments have been boldfaced. Sounds like we made the right choice.
?
Promised something soon, here it is.
The Flory.net SOM baseball league sites will scale back in 2025.? ? All full serve leagues will be allowed to end their current seasons with full service.? After that, they will
be self-serve.? As long as the site is up, self-serve leagues can continue as they wish.? There is one bug I need to fix that was not advancing leagues to their next season, basically, repeating a season.? If you need move your season forward, let me know and I will take care of it. My plan is to, after the Super Bowl in 2025 (I have a football pool on the site), start bringing the code on the pool up to the current level of code so as to reduce the cost to me for the service.? There are only about 20 programs there to be? upgraded as opposed to a few hundred in the baseball site, that won't happen.? There will be periods where the baseball site will act strange (unknown what that means) as I work on the? pool programs. I will try to announce those times on the site when they happen. After I get the pool programs upgraded, it probably means the end of the baseball site.? Will have to wait on that. in my current state, it's the best I can do.? Got even worse when I came down with covid for the 2nd time.? Ugh!? And once again, I know there are many well-wishers amongst you, and the sentiments are always appreciated.? But please don't send any replies to this email regarding my health and well-being.? Reading emails can be difficult with my vision. nick flory |
SOM Range Ratings
All,
?
SOM has released their annual Range Ratings. They had the Sneak Preview the last two days on X (Twitter). I'm attaching the file here. I must say, I am pretty happy with the accuracy of my projections in my first year doing them in comparison to LBB's results, especially considering they have been doing them about two decades now. Take a look yourself. I will be looking at what I can tweak to make them even more accurate next year. This should help quite a bit with border line cuts.
