Hi all,

?

I hope this finds you well in these strange times. Fortunately for me, and I hope it is the same with you, most of this is quite normal as I don’t go out that much anyway and the two things I would normally go out for during the week are still running.

?

Just heard from Col (Semmler) – he rang Chris Davis for his birthday only to find him in hospital – St Vincents in Melbourne. Chris had not been feeling well and collapsed – had the ambos been any later he may not have made it. Seems he had an issue with one of the valves in his heart and had to be opened up to fix it…all recovering now but still in hospital. Chris I am sure everyone joins with me to wish you a speedy recovery.

?

Speaking of Col – it seems that the small amount of pressure I have been putting on him for the last few years is finally paying off and he is writing up some memoirs of our time there – so looking forward to reading it. J

?

Had a couple of catch ups with Geoff Fox who many of you will know had been overseas and had made it back to Berrigan to go into isolation for a fortnight but in his caravan at his cousins place. From last account all was well with him and by now will be out of iso.

?

We would have had another get together by now of the RIverina group but this lockdown has put paid to that for the time being. When we know the travel restrictions have been lifted I will get to organise the next one. I think we agreed to meet in the metropolis of Ariah Park – which should make for an interesting day. Looking forward to when that does happen.

?

Will also post Chris’ news up on our FB page.

?

All the best for now

?

John

Please give Chris best wishes and know that we are thinking of him.

Been there with the heart valve thing and it is not fun. The alternative even less so.

?

Stay safe all .

Cheers

Hi John

?

Many thanks for letting us know about Chris. Please wish him a speedy recovery from us both.

?

Get together sounds like an idea. We would have to see how Dave is going by then. Was due for a hip replacement in May but cancelled due to C virus. He will have the other one done when he gets over the first one.

?

We hope everyone is Ok with this virus.

?

Cheers

Dave & Leonie

Virus-free.

Hi John, Please also give our best wishes to Chris Davis.

On the plus side, we have the best medical system and the best surgeons in this country.
We hope rehab is not too onerous and goes well.

Like everyone else, we are only going out for essentials.

Sadly, these is a state border just a few K's north of us so we cannot see the kids and grandkids.
We obtained a special pass(port), but have trouble setting the clock back 50 years (lol).

We hope everyone is doing well and we all get through these crazy times in one piece.

Fondest regards,
Mark & Debbie Briggs
