Aaron, I'm not sure of your interest in this haplogroup, but we now know that I-A5716 is not downstream of I-Z58. Instead it is directly downstream of I-DF29. If you manage a kit that is either

I meant that I am the founder of the haplogroup I1 project at FTDNA. I will join your subgroup. I cannot remember precisely where these matches came from. I think it was the Johnson/Johnston/Johnstone

Aaron, thanks for joining the I-A5716 project! You fit right in. It’d be nice to have a Hill upgrade to Big Y at some point, but there’s no doubt which part of the I-A5716 tree they belong
