Try this website for determining when and where your ancestors were

Re: I-Z58
There is no reason for me to take the BigY700 test. Another Hill cousin has already tested Z58+. Other cousins have tested DF29+.

M253+ > DF29+ > Z58+ > A5734?
I have studied the SNPs in my most closest matches. There appear to be two distinct subclades as of now.

Re: M253+ > DF29+ > Z58+ > A5734?
What is so frustrating is that none of these SNPs in question — A5734, BY152625, BY155598, FT90664?—?are offered for testing by FTDNA, without doing the BigY700, which is expensive and

Why don't you create a customizes Yseq panel?

How does one do that and how will it benefit our little group?

Check out Custom Panels at: https://www.yseq.net/index.php?cPath=25&osCsid=56429811bbb1052c8e00349eac1ff9fc
You could create a panel with all the specific SNPs of your little group, including the

Chris,
Wow, that is a slick website. Thanks for posting the link. I had never seen it before.

Re: I-Z58
Thank, Jim
Aaron - here’s another website that may predict what your terminal SNP will be based on STR results. Let us know if that moves you down the tree any.

Re: I-Z58
This site only gives a generic I1 based on my STR results. I am going to try members.bex.net/jtcullen515/haplotest.htm ( http://members.bex.net/jtcullen515/haplotest.htm ) instead.

Re: I-Z58
I am not sure how accurate and relevant these designations are anymore, but here are my results:
Haplo-I Subclades and probabilities are as follows:
I-M253-T13 =>29%? I-M253-AS1H =>22%? I-M253-AS9a

Re: M253+ > DF29+ > Z58+ > A5734?
I discovered two mutations on scaledinnovation.com/gg/snpTracker.html ( http://scaledinnovation.com/gg/snpTracker.html ) , so I am updating the info here.

Re: M253+ > DF29+ > Z58+ > A5734?
There is some confusion about the placement of Z58. It is excluded on these maps, but I do think the following is accurate.
M253 > DF29 > Z58 > A5716 > A5726 > A5734 > BY152625 > BY155598

Y DNA Haplogroup Comparisons
Is there a way to compare one terminal haplogroup with another to determine if one is ancestral to the other? Is there a web site to easily do the comparison ?

Re: Y DNA Haplogroup Comparisons
You most simple way is to use the "search on this page" function of your browser in the YFull tree.
Best,

Terminal Haplogroup
Keep your eyes on FTDNA… They just gave me a new Terminal Haplogroup! The YFull tree hasn’t caught up yet. The Big Y test was worth it, for sure.
