Oct 31st - Prepping for the Party (Ororo, tags, Tia)
5
ooc: Hope you don't mind. I started up a new thread so that it wouldn't get lost. :) A door creaked open in the girls corridor, Tia's door to be precise, and the door to the smallest, plainest bedroom. It didn't have much in it. Just a bed, and an unused desk and computer that hadn't yet been switched on. No one else had wanted the room, but Tia loved it for the large window and easy access to the outside if she wanted to climb out in her various animal forms. Unusually, Tia was in her human form, blue eyes studying the hallway warily as she debated leaving the room. Clad in the standard school tracksuit bottoms and a school t shirt, barefoot and bare armed, despite the chill in the air as she crept out. She hated being in her human form, but the teachers had impressed upon her the need for her to remain in it for longer periods of time as a necessity in case there was a time she couldn't access her powers. Her deep chestnut hair had been savagely cut into a short funky style when it became apparent they were never going to be able to brush the knots and lugs out of the wild mane. She padded slowly down the stairs, listening and paused as she heard voices, three possibly four, in the kitchen. One of the voices she didn't know. She contemplated going to see who it was but four people in her human form.... No. She trotted swiftly to the bottom of the stairs and turned away from the kitchen and headed up the corridor instead, heading in the opposite direction. There was a party tonight. They had to 'dress up.' So far she knew what the dress up part was and Liz had helped her with a costume. She was very pleased with it, having watched a 'animated film' and found a very pleasing character she liked very much. She still had to figure out what a party was however, and this 'Halloween' festival was. She had been in the library to get books on it earlier. Now she was going to see the hall where the party was to be. She wanted to see what was happening.... Curiously She pushed the door open and poked her head around it spotting Ororo... Doing something... Ororo was not dressed up at this point... Not yet. But she was using her abilities to help put the finishing touches on the room. Flying over to a spot high in the center of the ceiling, she hung a crystalline jack-o-lantern that was going to be a source of light for the party. Floating backwards, she studied it carefully before flying back towards the ground. That was when the white haired woman noticed a newcomer. She was familiar with the human form of Tia, and she smiled warmly. "Hello my dear. Did you come to get a sneak peak of the decorations?" The room was fun and yet... Elegant in its décor. They had plenty of your typical Halloween decorations, but nothing was overdone. It walked safely along the borderline of kitchy and non-scary. They did have some younger students after all. "What do you think of it so far?"

Home is where the Haunt is - Oct 31st (Open)
8
Who: Hope Hope gave herself one final look-over and twirl in front of a mirror before deciding she wasn't going to be able to make anymore improvements. Though she had started with black high heels, she ditched them after she quickly learned that she still couldn't walk in them properly. Because of that, she had to change the original theme of her costume. What started out as a Ariel sightseeing dress complete with the blue color scheme, oversized bow and black leather corset quickly turned hipster once she did so. Instead she opted for a plain pair of red hightop converse and a pair of black rimmed glasses that did nothing for her eyesight. All in all, she managed to stay under budget, even though the entire costume cost just as much as the corset itself. Leaving her room and feeling slightly self conscious at her costume choice, Hope could hear the music from the gymnasium. The beats and rhythm sounded old which indicated one of the professors was probably choosing the music. The room was fairly decorated and was done in a way that wasn't over powering. Her mind pulled scenes and scenarios she had read from books and seen in movies. But they didn't really match up with what she was seeing. In a way it was both a relief and a disappointment. She didn't see Emma among the crowd yet, though she spotted her mother in the typical pirate costume that you would see of somebody every year. Now she just needed to see a witch, a nurse, a cat and bunny and her collection for a typical Halloween would be complete. Not that her costume was overly original either. <I feel like something is missing, a particular blonde perhaps?> Hope probed at Emma as she glanced around for Laura or Heather who said they would come if Emma managed to sort them out a costume. With so many teachers around, she doubted the dance would vary much form a typical school dance. Tags: Emma

Oct. 31st - I'm Still Here... For Now (Mystique, Open)
4
Mystique was still at the X-Mansion after the events of earlier in the month. Her gunshot wound had been nearly fatal... It was only with her rejuvenating capabilities and the expertise of Hank and others at the mansion that had kept her alive. But something about the round had slowed her rejuvenating abilities... And she hadn't liked THAT at all! But, it did give her a reason to stick around. Partly to see if any new information about that group popped up... And partly to keep an eye on her two children. Kurt had been an innocent sympathizer while she was on the jet, while she had not really interacted with Rogue. She knew they both were aware she was still here... But she couldn't fault either of them for their choices during her stay. Now, after a few weeks of intensive care, she was up and moving about. Scott had even given her a room, although it was far away from the students and she knew it was surveyed. She didn't mind. Being here was the best chance she had at healing in relative peace... And finding out information. She had even put a few calls in to some of her contacts outside in the attempt to try and bring in more information. Few things had borne fruit yet... But she knew it was only a matter of time. As for tonight, she planned on attending the Halloween party. It was a perfect opportunity to check out the students here and mingle. She just needed to decide who she was going to go as. If only one of the faculty or students was going to be out of the mansion tonight, she would simply assume their appearance. She had not asked, nor did she truly intend to, whether or not she was 'allowed' at the party... But she was bored, and a party with a bunch of teenage mutants always offered the opportunity for some laughs. Standing in front of her mirror, she transformed into Logan. With a chuckle, she made him appear like a clown. It was amusing to her... And she knew it would irritate him... But then she shifted into Jean as a witch... She could entertain herself with this for awhile. It had been ages since she had transformed purely for her own enjoyment... Forgetting that her bedroom door was open after her return from getting some painkillers.

10/31 - Costume Ideas? I think I'm set! (Squirrel Girl, open tags)
9
Deedee fixed the ruffles on her dress as it hung on the hangar and grinned. She wasn't normally a dress kinda girl, but there weren't many ideas that would allow her to be comfortable with her tail... And at least this character actually had a tail as well. The yellow and white dress was cute if not a bit short. Glancing at her nightstand, she snatched up the ears and placed them on her head. With a chuckle, she decided she would wear them around the mansion a bit before the party. Touching the fabric of her dress, she then focused on her pal Tippy's costume. She wasn't the only one going to dress up after all. A small purple hat and a white coat she had made herself rested on the side of her bed. Laughing, she showed them to the squirrel who chattered at her in annoyance before scrambling out the window. Shaking her head affectionately, Deedee lay the outfit back on the bed and grabbed up her headphones. She would go run before the dance/party tonight since she wasn't helping with the set up. Plugging one bud into her ear, she turned on her shuffle and Nelly's Move Your Body came on. Bouncing out her door with one bud dangling on her shoulder, she headed toward the front door... Keeping an eye open for other costumes. She couldn't help it! She was curious what people were doing!

Some wounds heal slowly - Oct 31st
21
Who: Heather Afternoon sunlight poured into the mansion windows, into Heather’s bedroom. It had been four weeks to the day since she moved into Laura’s dorm room. After what happened they said it would help if she wasn’t alone too much. Heather was staring unblinking into the vanity mirror mounted above her dresser. Her eyes twitched involuntarily. The broken bones healed within minutes of her rescue, but her hair had barely begun to grow out, making for a spiked boy-cut of fire red. She sure felt alone. Now her lip curled into a sneer, then a growl and finally she bellowed a deep roar in frustration as she drove a bone spike into the desk’s mahogany surface! ‘Anger is strength..’ a voice whispered in her head. She shuttered at the memory and tried to slow her breathing. Maybe food would help. Down in the kitchen she found some drumsticks and shoved them into the microwave. There were always leftovers sitting in the fridge. Heather turned on the faucet to fill a glass of water but stood gazing out the window at the fallen leaves covering the grounds. She lost track of how long she stood there in a trance. The faucet poured unheeded down the drain.

Hearts and Skulls- Oct. 31st (Gambit, tag Rogue)
5
It was a quiet morning. So far. While the relative peace the mansion had seen since the attack had been slightly boring, it was still good to see the kids smiling again. Crisp fall air came through the open window as Remy went through his morning routine. It was chilly, but the bayou had given him more than his fair share of heat. In more ways than one. Still, the quiet made him restless, but he knew how to warm up and get his blood pumping. He secured the last button on his silk shirt, one of many, and headed out into the hall. It was only a short walk to Rogue's room and his ultimate goal. That was the best part of the semblance of peace. He got to have more time with her than he usually did. Especially with the lack of schoolwork toneeally do today. All they really needed to was set up for the Halloween dance. _But first..._ A sly grin on his face, as usual, he knocked lightly on the door and opened it slowly. "Bonjour, amor, Remy wake up befo' ya again?" Tag

Wolvies Return
The front door to the mansion flew open with a bang and a growling box walked into the mansion. No, wait.... Logan was carrying the box and grumbling with annoyance. He didn't like halloween.... But he didn't detest it as much as some of the other holidays. It caused mass hysteria in the kids, and most adults and they seemed to expect everyone to join in with their frivolities. "Not ruddy likely." He grouched, stomping off in search of Ororo with the goodies he had been ordered.... No 'sent' to buy for the party that he was going to try and avoid at all costs. He just had to make it through the mansion without being accosted by a student demanding to know what he was dressing as for tonight's school party. He supposed 'yer mama' wasn't the correct response. Maybe he should say ol'one eye. That would be amusing... He wasn't that he even really hated Summers, the kid was decent enough.... But he really needed to,remove that stick from up his ass... Maybe if he did he'd turn into a jelly boneless, blob. "Run, don't walk from'The blob.' " rang in his head from an old black and white supposed horror film and he barked a quick laugh at the thought of it wearing Cyclops uniform. He pushed deeper into the mansion towards the hall and caught the sound of voices from the kitchen. Why did the kids hang out in the kitchen when they had a den? He didn't understand that either. He caught Laura's voice in there and Heathers and nodded approvingly, good, before schooling the slight up turn of his mouth back into the perpetual grimace. Who else? Oh the princesses, the Hope girl and the Frost girl. Interesting mix. Glad he wasn't in there. He stomped further in, he could hear Ororo talking to... Ugh.... Tia. He was going to have his ears chewed off. For a moment he considered turning tail and going to the kitchen.... From a choice of two hells... He wasn't sure which would be worse... But 'Ro needed this stuff. Or she'd better. He paused for a moment doing a few moments breathing practice and mediation and listened to the kitchen dialogue. <tags any?>

Meeting Face to Face - Sept 30th
30
Who: Scott
Where: Green Mountain National Forest Preserve, VA
?
Scott sat in the copilot seat of the X-wing brooding in full leather uniform with dull yellow stripes and X symbols at the collar.?He’d tasked Kurt with piloting the jet to give him something to focus on other than grinning childishly at Raven, a gesture she seemed unwilling to reciprocate.?They didn’t have a full roster but apart from; Rogue, Gambit and Wolverine, most of the remaining X-men were either in attendance or back guarding the Mansion.?And Mystique of course.
?
The Slate woman had set the meeting at coordinates that to all appearances seemed to be an isolated spot in the middle of the forest, at least on radar.?You could never get too comfortable when your enemy chose the location to rendezvous.
?
“Stay sharp everyone, and remember the plan.”?From this altitude they could still see the sun turning orange on the horizon, while clouds had moved in overhead.?Rain began to make lines across the windshield.?“We’re about ten minutes out.”
?
?
Who: Jean
?
Jean leaned forward from her seat behind Scott and placed her hand on his shoulder.?No matter how foul his mood he usually couldn’t help but cover her hand with his.?It was no mutant power than fed calm into her husband with just a touch.?Jean worried for Kitty, and the student Heather who’d only been at the school a little over a week before being stolen away in the night!?
?
“Is everyone alright back there?” She asked.?Jean turned to where Mystique was seated, wearing shackles and the suppression collar as agreed upon.?The shackles were actually unlocked, and though the collar was lit green thanks to Hank’s tinkering it wasn’t keeping her from using her abilities.?Not right now at least.?For the ruse to work Raven would have to remain in true blue form, once they landed at least.?Still, it felt cruel not allowing her to wear a uniform like the rest of the team.?
?
“Are you ready for this?” Jean asked her.

Oct. 5th - Practicing Makes Perfect (Finn, Open tags)
58
Who: Finn
Where: School Grounds
Finn, in a pair of grey slim soccer pants with a navy sleeveless tank top, was praciticing in a more secluded training area of the grounds.? He was used to doing most of his excercises outside, and the cooler Boston breeze kinda reminded him more of his Irish home.? Going through the motions smoothly with his deadly sword, he spun in place and dropped the blade down to his shoulder height as if cutting into a shoulder blade.? Then he pulled back and went into another series of motions, all fairly elegant in their movement... But also all intended to be deadly.?
His bare feet made faint shushing sounds as he moved around, tiny drops of dew that had still not faded from the heat of the sun due to the hour in which he preferred to practice.? It wasn't early by any means, but he meant to keep up with his skill level, and if he had to do this before school, then so be it.? A scabbard rested on a stump nearby that also had a towel underneath it to protect the leather from the rough surface of the wood.?
Finn's face was set in a grim expression of concentration.? His thoughts, since he could not close the stray ones from his mind completely, were periodically back on the attack from a few nights before.? His minor injury... And Jubilee's gunshot that was thankfully healed by intervention from somewhere ...'other'... The missing students and the subsequent events of the days since... They all tried to crowd in and distract him from his motions, and so he would fiercely push them aside.? They would only serve as a danger to himself.? You couldn't be of two minds while practicing with a lethal weapon.? Pausing to take a breath, he exhaled deeply and shook his shoulders out before resetting and preparing to begin again.

Trainng time : Logan (tags students)
25
Logan grunted as he pulled the stogey from his mouth and stubbed it out in the ashtray (a concession to Ororo.) he flipped the scruffy note pad shut that he made scrawly brief notes in (they passed as lesson plans in his book, a concession to Jean and co. Of the new era) and as a place to note the baselines, progress and improves or lack of in the students.
speaking of... He pushed back in his chair and stood, what were the other teaching them? He hadn't been around on and off but they should have had some kind of know how when that attack came. That wasn't going to happen again.
Laura would be ok. Heather, once she recovered from being kidnapped, showed promise, the shrieky one? Pippa? Pippy, Piper... Something.. Might be ok if she lost the attitude. The dog-boy, he'd seen doing some craft with a sword, he might be handy. Kitty, she knew some stuff... But what had this kidnapping done to her? He didn't know. He wasn't sure she'd be over it as fast as Heather. The Squirrel kid... If they didn't shoot her first she could talk them to death. Tia? Kid hadn't been human in nearly three years... But he bet she could ace an obstacle course in any form. Hope-Faith-Chastity.... Jean and One-Eye's recently arrived through the convoluted time travel crap.... He hated time travel crap. Random people turned up and said "Hi I'm so'n'so's son/daughter" and you were supposed to believe them. Still did look like Red... The new posh blonde making cow eyes at Hope... He didn't know what she could do, but she had got her feet under the Summers table.
Didn't matter. What level the kids were at now. They all had to get to the same level soon. And thats where drills, running and obstacle courses came in... And...
_Jean yer slacker... For christs sake work on getting animal girl to go human an' GET HER SOME CLOTHES!! I'm not havin' a naked student runnin' drills._
With a grinchy smirk, Logan pushed the button on the schools loudspeaker system.
"Attention all students, meet at the lake in ten minutes in exercise gear. Wolverine out."

Southern Hospitality - Sept 30th
36
Who: Remy
Where: Remy's Room
? "Oh amor, Remy always got bright ideas.", he said with a chuckle as he led her upstairs. His room was what you'd expect if you knew him well enough. An obviously expensive stereo system; pieces of art that he had acquired under 'questionable' circumstances, bottles if wine; and an unknown quantity of decks of playing cards.
?He walked over to a bookshelf and picked up one of numerous cell phones. He gave Rogue a wink and dialed a number. Whomever he was speaking too, it was in Cajun French. He was only on the phone briefly before hanging up.
?He sighed and turned back to Rogue, focusing his red and black eyes on her. "We goin' ta Vermont. Got a lead on a warehouse." He removed his trench coat and grabbed his armor from the closet.
?"Who else ya tink we should bring, amor?"

The Day After The Night Before OCT 5 Tags Hope
19
Emma awoke slowly from a deep and restful sleep. As her senses revived, all
but sight could feel the lingering presence of a certain redhead nearby.
The light, the heat, the radiance of Hope Summers left its traces both in
the room as well as inside Emma. Her eyes slowly opened, and the dawn's
pink glow on the horizon could be seen from the open window. Smiling to
herself, she pulled Hope's pillow to her and hugged it tightly to her
bosom. Her scent was freshest here, and its potency was unexpectedly
profound on Emma. She buried her face into it to enjoy the intoxicating
remnants of she who was not present and yet was. She stayed there,
stretching out lazily. Emma had not slept this well in years. and it was
crystal clear the reason why.
Standing to stretch, she saw a piece of paper on her inner door. She
carefully peeled it from its perch and read it. She smiled warmly and
touched over her heart, feeling the author of the note's intent with all
due power. Sure it had a bit of schmaltz to it, but who said that was a bad
thing. Shakespeare's best work had a ring of cheese to it. It was the price
to pay for putting feelings into words.
Emma carefully placed the note somewhere safe and hidden before taking a
long shower. The night's festivities had left her feeling quite gritty
given the dried sweat and tousled hair. But after the hot water and a half
dozen expensive products, Emma felt like a new woman.
But before class, she had a welcome errand with which to deal.
She crafted a note of her own for Hope....she used a red paper and a silver
inked pen.
"Your fire burns away at everything that I am...leaving me stronger but
weaker in your absence. Meet me tonight where we first began our adventure."
With that, Emma folded the note into an origami bird, then made her way to
Hope's room and hung it on the door where it could not be missed. She then
scampered away toward breakfast.
"I've never scampered before in my life...." Emma half groused to herself.

Musing
Who: Tia
where: Lake
When: Morning of the 8th
The early morning sun glinted off the ripples of the lake waters, fascinating her as she lay on a rocky outcrop watching the wildlife as she considered the tumultuous effect the last few days had had on her life. She had been watching the sun on floating motes of dust but the air was stale and wanted yo be outside, no matter how crisp the air at this time. After a lifetime of confinement, the sudden freedom to roam as a great boon, even if it was just round the mansion grounds and not 'out' out like the others. She wondered why that was. Maybe because she didn't like being human. What was so good about it anyway? She had been watching the others, studying them really and with the exception of hands and opposable thumbs she could,do,exactly the same as an animal. She thought so. She certainly didn't get teenagers. They did strange things, or nothing.... And thought it was something... And she didnt get it. They had lots of things to wear... But said they had nothing... They had lots of things to,do, but said they had nothing to do and were bored... They were students. She was a student. She didn't get students either. So far she had spoken to Ororo about biology classes, and Logan about training. Ororo seemed happy with her and was going to help her with writing. She also said the other teachers would help her with writing and excuse her from certain things until she had caught up.
She didn't know what 'caught up' meant as she wasn't chasing anyone but she understood that her 'normal' was not normal at all and what she thought was strange, was everyone else's normal. A huff sent a gust of warm, moist breath into the cooler morning air, curling into patterns before dissipating as the confused metamorph carried on with her early morning musing. She had to find a... Tolerable, patient, normal teenager to follow to make sense of this new environment...

Unwanted Roommates (Liz & Akihiro)
Who: Liz
With: Akihiro
Where: Gardner's Cottage
Liz was fiddling around with a pile of veggies, intent on assembling something resembling a salad...slicing tomatoes with the shimmering white blade in her left hand.
A third hand snuck past and swiped a tomato wheel, while the fourth offered her a cucumber wheel from the other cutting board, "Here...a fair trade."
"You're insufferable," Liz grumbled, but allowed for the trade. The veggies purloined from the mansion's late season vegetable garden were fresh..and deliciously ripe, thanks to the greenhouse.
Besides, two sets of hands made a faster salad than one, and the git was remarkably well mannered for an unwanted roomie who'd taken up residence in the gardner's cottage--occupying the spare room upstairs that she hadn't turned into an office or music studio.
"So I've been told," he smirked at Liz, "Anything else you'd like to add to the list?"
"I'll think of something." she shrugged, tossing the tomato wheels into the large Blanda Blanc bowl to join the spinich and butter lettuce, "But it'll have t'be something you've not heard before..."
"Well, I've been called annoyingly handsome, irritatingly persistent...petulantly pedantic. That one wasn't particularly inspired." he rattled off airly, though seeing Liz's amusement did ease the trademark smirk into a genuine smile, "People like to stereotype me, and it does get rather old."
"I can imagine, Aki'iro," she nodded, "I'd imagine we're both used t'it--but it doesn't mean either of us accept it...or tolerate it."
"Indeed..." he agreed, tossing the halved cucumber wheels into the bowl, "Those foolish enough to not see past the surface are just that. Fools."
"Like Jack and Brian?" Liz observed, referencing her two brothers--who were still convinced she was "merely" a computer security expert and forensic intel analyst with minimal self-defense training.
"Yes. They are under the impression that you're 'in danger' and require a personal security expert, and I am only too happy to accept the contract to provide protective services...." the half-Asian chuckled, "However, I did my research and am familiar with your skillsets...you're far more likely to be a danger -to- whomever might be interested in seeking you out, but, if there -is- anyone...they're going have a most unpleasant surprise awaiting them, yes?"
"Yep." Liz smirked in turn, "And I can't say I'm adverse t'my idiot brothers being parted with some of their funds. I'm still of a mind t'run 'em through with Dad's sword m'self...so, you, keeping an eye on -me- is likely t'keep my temper in better check, thus saving them from a fate worse than life as it is..."
Akihiro's almond-shaped eyes widened, their blue-grey hue brightening, "...ooooohhhh....so there -is- a story?"
"Oh, of course there is." Liz's short, sharp laugh grated on her new (unwanted) roomie's ears, but given her intense feelings on the subject, she wasn't ready to tell it -just- yet. "One of these days, I'll tell y'bout the whole bloody mess, Aki'iro. But not t'day...it's a little much t'deal with reliving it, 'cause I remember it like it was yesterday..."
"It'll wait." he assured her as they finished the veggies, tossed in some sliced almonds and added the package of grilled, sliced chicken strips to the bowl.
Akihiro tossed the salad and served it up while watching Liz collect two pints of Blue Moon and an orange from the fridge. Despite having done his homework on her, she was still something of an engima, a riddle and a mystery all intertwined.
And very different from the other wealthy or aristocratic heiresses he'd been hired to protect...
Liz Braddock had yet to respond to his casual flirtations, small talk or exotic good looks--instead, she conversed with him, engaged his curiosity and intellect. She seemed to look at him as a person, rather than the facade he usually presented.
He wasn't sure how he felt about that, yet.
"Here y'go. One Blue Moon--and we'll make orange wedges t'stuff the bottles with. Nice t'pair up with this kinda salad," she offered one to him, the other for herself. "And we'll figure out this whole roommate thing..."
"Cheers," he saluted her with the open bottle as they sat down to eat and negotiate their co-habitational arrangements.

Freedom (Gardens 4th October)
39
Ororo and Logan had moved her into a room, not a cell. A proper room, that people lived in. It was strange and unusual to have a carpet, and a bed, with a mattress and soft coverings. It also had a desk and chair, with a computer and wardrobes, and her favourite thing of all, a window!! She had spent hours watching the trees and gardens and birds out of it. So much so that they had visited her with a meal to make sure she ate. ?They had described it as 'sparse' but she liked it. She didn't have much... They were threatening to take her shopping for 'things she needed' like clothes and... Well she didn't know. She didn't think she'd like shopping though, too many 'normal' people.
Anyway... The Best thing about this new room was... Logan and Ororo said she could go running outside if she wanted to!! She pushed open the windown and jumped carefully down to the ground in her panther form, glancing around quickly to check if she had been spotted before wheeling around and morphing into a large black equine, with a long wavy mane, a very baroque looking breed before taking off. ?She was galloping, and accelerating... Before she had gone ten strides...

What's a Filler Episode? - Oct. 3
21
Who: Hope
Where: The Mansion
Hope pulled up to the mansion, having spent more time driving in the past two weeks than she had done in her entire life so far. It was a nice change of pace to traveling instantaneously through teleporting, gave her time to think. She was just glad that Scott or Jean hadn't argued in letting her take off for a bit of her time after having only been there for a little more than a month. Not that they had much of a choice, but it was a nice gesture and all. They were even nice enough to loan her a car to travel in. She had to say, despite her entrance and confession that she was their daughter, they had taken it quiet well.
She sat in the car for a moment, thinking of what she was going to say. Technically on some scale they were her parents, but they weren't. Scott was in a much better place than he had been in when she had last seen him. Still happy and less militant. Nothing seemed to have changed much during her absence. This world seemed so much more tame than the one she grew up in. She didn't need to have Nathan hover over her shoulder ever minute of every day. As she entered the atrium, she looked around feeling through the wave of thoughts for someone she recognized. There weren't many telepaths at the school when she had arrived almost two months ago, so finding her mother or someone she recognized shouldn't be hard.

Wild Beasts and Wovlerines - Oct 3 (Tia, WhoEver)
24
Who: Laura Kinney
Where: The Cells
?
Laura lout out a roar of a yawn. ?She yawned so hard, she thought she might have dislocated her jaw for a moment. ?It wasn't that early in the morning, but sleep had been evading her a bit too much for the past few days. ?she had promised Logan she would keep an eye on Tia, and so far, she hadn't kept that promise. ?So she decided it was time to go for a visit. ?Looking over, Heather still seemed to be asleep, at least she hadn't woken her up with her tossing and turning. ?Slipping into a pair of Jeans and a tank top, she made her way down to the kitchen.?
?
She wasn't much of a cook, so she managed to make some off colored scrambled eggs and burnt bacon before heading down to her. ?She set the bowl down in front of her cell, eating her own food while she waited for her to wake up.

Nothing Good Happens after Midnight - Oct. 4th (Emma, Open)
61
Who: Hope
Where: Roof of the Mansion
There was a certain peacefulness to the mansion when everyone was sleeping. Being a school, it was often full of mutants of varying ages talking, filling the air with their chatter and thoughts. But this late at night, she could only hear the white noise of their dreams and the crickets that grazed the large field of grass that made up the front yard of the school. There was probably a more appropriate name for it, but she couldn't think of one. She might have to ask Emma later, she would know if anyone did.
Feeling around the school, there were more teachers awake than students. She supposed there was some sort of curfew or something since it was a school, except for the creepy kid she saw in the rec room. He apparently never slept. She also noticed someone doing some heavy physical activity over near what she assumed was a obstacle course. This place was full of people of all shades she guessed.
<You awake?> Hope probed Emma. Being she was a telepath, Hope couldn't just read her mind to check. People frowned upon it, not that most knew when she did. She admitted, with her knowledge of the future she came from, she would prefer that others stayed out of hers for their own good, and hers.

Oct. 5th (Afternoon) Working with the Plants (Ororo, Open tags)
10
Who: Ororo
Where: Out in the gardens
Ororo stood out in between some patches of trees and plants in their lovely gardens, surveying them all with some measure of pride and concern.? She was going to have to make it rain over the course of the night.? Some of the plants were looking a tad... Under the weather as one could say.? And she took her plants seriously.? While she was not the gardener, she did have a large part in maintaining the lush scenery around them... Without severely impacting the natural course of mother nature.? Her more precious plants were in the greenhouse after all, and were safe from the fickleness of weather extremes.?
Bending over, she reached out gently and smelled one of their large white roses.? These were one of her favorite flowers here and she strove to keep the blooms healthy for as long as possible.? Humming softly to herself, she strode around the plants?gauging just how much rain she should bring down.? Her long white hair was braided loosely behind her, and a soft lavender off the shoulder sweater covered much of her upper body, while black jeans ended in black boots.? Making mental notes, she began to formulate lesson plans for her biology classes in the upcoming days... Plant life was fascinating... And to see the changes that would be made as the seasons turned would be a worthwhile focus.
