I'm looking for some guidance for N3FJP and/or N1MM with the G90...

I'm trying to get the G90 to play nice with N3FJP and/or N1MM. In a perfect world, logging?and?CAT control.

Flrig is installed, and I use DigiRig as my soundcard. My setup for FT8 works flawlessly, including CAT control.

Thanks in advance.

I use AC Log with the G-90. I control the radio thru a Digi Rig, and then I follow Scott's advice and let AC Log control the radio. When using WSJT-X, there are NO rig settings.? I Don't use N1MM any more, as I am no longer a contester, but as I remember the settings are the same. This way, you can easily switch between CW, Phone and Digital.? Haven't tried other digital programs, but I would think they would be very similar.
Hope this helps. de K4DJG??

I forgot to say, I have used FLRig, but found it to not be needed in this configuration, and one less step to confuse me. K4DJG?

Thanks for both bits of info Bob. As you may have guessed, I'm trying to get squared-away for Field Day 2024. Our club uses networked N3FJP so I was hoping to be able to use one logging application for all modes, CW, FT8, and phone on just my laptop. If I can integrate logging, Grid Tracker, and CAT control, I'd be a happy camper. It might even make it easier for our "guests" to see the big picture during FD. Our club isn't "in it to win it". Our thrust is more educational and interest generating.

Thanks again Bob.

Bill, ??

I can confirm the G90 works well with N1MM+. ? The software even has the G90 as one of the radio setups. ? ?Add in that N1MM+ allows WSJT and FLDIGI to be configured with in its configuration, and at least for me I have a complete package. ?

For my setup I bought a cheap USB dongle for my soundcard, and soldered up a cable with the G90 DIN to a standard 3.5mm audio jack. ? Works very well for FT8.?

Regards,
Wilson

Thanks Wilson.

Yeah, I went the home-brewed cables at one point too. The hardware aspect is the least of?my worries.? ;-)

Not to beleaguer the point, but where did you find the most helpful info for setting up the "complete package", i.e. N1MM's manual, WSJT's manual, etc.?

I probably mentioned I love being a POTA activator.

That would be “did not use any resources”.
