Xiegu XPA125B Amplifier Not Amplifying After Overdrive
Hi everyone,
I am new to this group.
I hope I find assistance for my Xiegu XPA125B amplifier, which recently stopped amplifying. While operating with a Xiegu G90, I inadvertently drove the amplifier

Re: Bias Current Adjustment
Hello Tiago,
you don't have to measure at 100W. To see if the direction is okay you are aiming at, i would do tests with cw first at maybe 30W to 50W. To be safe that your bias is okay you should

Re: No Rx on new XPA125B
I have three XPA 125s.
Here is my thoughts.
(1) Substitute the coax jumpers in/out to the XPA125.
(2) Check to see if the in and out are correct
(3) With no P-T-T cable connections is the pass

Re: Bias Current Adjustment
Hi Chris,
Thank you for the information!
I have a tinySA to check spurious but I'm not sure if I have enough
attenuators for this setup. Do I need to measure for spurious with the
output at 100W?
Do

Hello Seth,
conductor which what where?
Remember rf is not dc and every output transformer has normaly a dead dc short between both connections of the so239... ;)
Ask somebody in your near HAM

Re: Bias Current Adjustment
Hello Tiago,
sorry for the late reply.
No you are right this is a stupid bias point suggestion from Xiegu! At least 26W at bias point will blow both FETs very very fast. . .
They prove again to have

Re: Bias Current Adjustment
Hi Chris,
Thank you very much for the detailed information! Now I clearly understand
the concept, and I believe I can perform the adjustment process correctly.
However, I have mixed information about

Re: No Rx on new XPA125B
Thanks - it did seem to transmit, but I will do more thorough testing as I
have time.
I did open the case to poke around a bit - should there be continuity

Re: No Rx on new XPA125B
Hello Seth,
there is something wrong in the PA. Does it "klick" on ptt activation?
It could be a broken/bad rx/tx-relay contact. If you used it with to low tx delay this could happen easily! Burned

Re: Bias Current Adjustment
Hello Tiago,
the XPA125B with the AFT05MP075N is not the newest version of the PA!
AFT05MP075N was removed from circuit and RD100HHF x2 is the actual replacement.
Why? Because AFT05MP075N can only do

No Rx on new XPA125B
Hi,
Wondering if anyone has any insight - I have a new XPA125B and G90, using the DE-19 to connect them for control, and the XPA125B isn't getting Rx/passing it along to the G90 - when I connect an

Bias Current Adjustment
Hi everyone,
My XPA125B unit is the one with the new circuit based on the AFT05MP075N transistor. Recently, during some operation on 80 meters band, I saw some smoke coming out from the amplifier. A

Re: Version 2.01 issues
Well, I have an X6100, and the old XPA125B firmware allowed me to key up with less than .5 watts and the ATU tuned just fine (.5 watts in on 20 meters sends 100 watts plus out of the amplifier) . Now,

Re: Version 2.01 issues
Ver 2.0.1
1. Set transceiver mode to FM (NFM), not CW.
2. Set transceiver output to 5 watts.
3. Pushing the ATU/TUNE button when you hear a slight click relay press

Re: Version 2.01 issues
I had found an upgrade article a long time ago and the guy sent me the 0.14
release. I used it for a year and it worked great. I have upgraded to
2.0.1 and it seems fine on my setup with an IC-705

Re: Version 2.01 issues
G'Day. I'm having problems with 2.0.1 also (ATU problems), and I'm thinking about downgrading. I found 2.0.0 build 13 on the cqxiegu site, but I didn't see build 14. Is there much difference in the

Re: X6200 and XPA125B Auto Band Switching
I had the same situation with an X6100/XPA125B and I came across a post that suggested that you run the XPA125B and the X6100 on different power supplies, and that worked for me. Ground loop problem?

No power out.
Driving my XPA125B? with an X6100. Worked fine until recently. Now the amp draws "0" amps at idle and draws 2-4amps on TX with 0 watts in or out on the display. The tuner also seems to be
