hello all?
I wanted to share with you the celebration of life for Darell .
It was one of the most heartwarming and touching celebrations?that I was grateful? to attend (.If I can say that.)
It was extraordinary that everyone who knew that man from 3 PICs ,surgery Chiefs,colleagues and support staff Ma's surgery schedulers ,even his patients were there to say beautiful things about him .
He obviously was one of a kind ,not just as a great surgeon.(He was described?as the Le Braon?James of surgical artistry) but as a human being who took care of his patients and his unwavering?support of his colleagues?any time even when he was not on call? .
I felt sad that I did not get to know him as well as all who worked with him closely?.
It is a testament to the quality of our medical group which I find extremely?heartening?and something that is a source?of pride for me? .
In the spirit of all of this I want to recognize you all my friends?/colleagues for being the unsung heroes?.
I did not want to wait to have a celebration?of life to say this to you.?
One thing that I found out that most people had no idea what Darell died from ,was some vague causes .Some knew.
Which brought back to me the subject we discussed at our last meeting,caring for each other .
I proposed?to Meena and perhaps to our Ceo(in the future) that they can ask people?if they?can share information with colleagues if the person?so desires ,so there is no HIPPA violation .
This subject needs to be discussed among us and? we can decide as? to how? want to proceed .
