Hi gang,
Instead of our usual luncheon in July, Meena Pai, PIC will be the guest speaker. This is an opportunity to learn more about what is happening at San Jose Kaiser and Kaiser as a whole. Meena has graciously pay for the luncheon. It should be quite a layout. LRCC has a very well known head chef, Nick who will cater the event. The event will be on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 12:30. Please be prompt. The tentative plan is to have the lunch start at 12:30 with Meena¡¯s talk to follow. 12:30 PM Lunch 1:00 - 1;15 PM Meena Pai talk Please RSVP if you are interested in coming to the luncheon OR wants to hear the talk by internet access (being set up). So far 29 retirees has signed up. 4 retirees are interested in viewing the talk via internet. More information to follow 1-2 weeks prior to the event. Mateo Go 408 687-0968 |

Follow up from yesterdays lunch
It was nice to see you all?
As always our meeting was pretty convivial.? We had some good and bad news? The good news is having Sunil Ahuja and Prasad Mova join us for the first?time.Welcome! The bad is the passing of Dr Brooks ?the newest plastic surgeon? He was a gentle quiet soul . No details yet .? Dr Stein talked briefly about a support group ?(We care??) .? There was a suicide by one of our previous gyn colleagues who left the group more than 20 years ago . I am not aware of any of the present colleagues .? If you are aware of someone in distress ,Dr Stein ?may be able to help . This generated ?sad feelings , and stirred emotions by Ed Hayhurst telling us we should be more caring for each other ?cause when in he was in need dealing with depression ?no one did , ?this saddened me because ?our nature as doctors is to care .Since most of us are kept in the dark , it is not possible to give the support when needed . The issues of Hippa were discussed . So an option is for the chief / Pic for those who are still working is to ask the individuals if it is ok to share info with other members . For us xtpmg we can provide our phone numbers to each other . I would like to know if there are ?any objections within two weeks please . My phone number is 408 307 8382? Until we meet again.? Tuesday July 30 ?with Meena? Cheers? Amir? ? |

Happy June first
Enjoy the weekend with this little story !? An Airbus 380 is on its way across the Atlantic. It flies consistently at 800 km/h at 30,000 feet, when suddenly a Eurofighter with a Tempo Mach 2 appears.
The pilot of the fighter jet slows down, flies alongside the Airbus, and greets the pilot of the pasenger plane by radio: "Airbus, boring flight, isn¡¯t it? Now have a look here!"
He rolls his jet on its back, accelerates, breaks through the sound barrier, rises rapidly to a dizzying height, and then swoops down almost to sea level in a breathtaking dive. He loops back next to the Airbus and asks: "Well, how was that?"
The Airbus pilot answers: "Very impressive, but watch this!"
The jet pilot watches the Airbus, but nothing happens. It continues to fly straight, at the same speed. After 15 mnutes, the Airbus pilot radios, "Well, how was that?
Confused, the jet pilot asks, "What did you do?"
The Airbus pilot laughs and says: "I got up, stretched my legs, walked to the back of the aircraft to use the washroom, then got a cup of coffee and a chocolate fudge pastry."
The moral of the story is: When you¡¯re young, speed and adrenaline seem to be great. But as you get older and wiser, you learn that comfort and peace are more important.
This is called S.O.S.: Slower, Older, and Smarter.
Dedicated to all my senior friends ~ it¡¯s time to slow down and enjoy the rest of the trip. ?
Love this great story ?????? |
