Over the past few years the X-Men have scattered across the world.  Some went to college, others to a different team, some went on a journey to find family, some to find themselves.  Strange dreams have being urging these former X-Men back to the mansion they once called home and the team they had once called family.

It is August 20th, 1988.  Three months ago the President signed a revised Mutant Registration Act into law.  While he refused to make a federal mandate, he did make it legal for each state to decide if they wanted to register mutants, and make choosing not to register illegal.  California quickly became the first state to declare they would not allow Registration.  Almost as quickly, New York announced that the first Registration Building would open in New York City on August 22nd, with other major cities opening Registration Buildings within the following two weeks.  Any mutant not Registered by October 1st would be considered a dangerous criminal and treated as such.  The Governor of New York, long suspected of being a Friend of Humanity, has ordered construction on a special "mutant holding facility" even though the exact crime and sentence for being "unregistered" has yet to be determined.

Game feel will be a mix of 1970-1990s comics and the 1990s cartoon.  There is a Time Line in the Files section to help players orient themselves.  Characters will be established X-Men with somewhat altered histories.  There are currently no original characters.
