What is the category that the XAir standard is licensed under? ? ? ?Illegal ultralight type aircraft unless registered EAB, ELSA, or ?Experimental Exhibition Amateur Built in the US.

The previous owner had applied for The N number that is still active but never went through the completed registration process. I do have a copy of the bill of sale from the manufacturer and the previous owner. I have completely taken the aircraft apart and I am reassembling with new tires, control cables, fuel lines, sails, certified rebuilt 618 Rotax and a host of other things. So basically it is a rebuilt aircraft. Any information or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks

Here in the US,

? ?Back in the day, a person could get an Experimental Aircraft registration packet from the EAA. ?I haven't been in need of one in 15 years, so I do not know if they are still available. ?It comes with all the forms, placards and written instructions on how to get your plane registered and inspected.
