I just joined to get some info on the X air std...A friend has one for sale...and the price seems right...save the high cost of parts for Hirth engines...Jugs are 800 bucks...and the cylinder stud repair? kit is 90 dollars...which seems high for 8 3/8th inch studs...
??? The 2706,fuel injected Hirth is vintage pre 2001 as I learned... and as I said the jug has stripped head bolts which need the conversion kit.. hours on engine in the neighborhood of 160...
?? so...any info on the quality of Hirth engines would be appreciated....I have been around long enough to know that they take a large hit on the net...
