I have to change my bungees in a few days myself - when you say 9 times, you mean roughly 4 wraps per fastening bolt?
Do you use zip ties or heat shrink or some other way to connect the ends together?

Just make a slight bend in a component, while taking in account the additional change once the suspension is ore loaded come time to land
