Fixing Blown Power Amplifier?

So I could use some help from the group here:

My x5105 is only putting out about 0.8w of power, no matter what I do. I've pushed/set/adjusted the "Po" button a bunch of times, adjusted a bunch of options, and the output watts never changes. I tried a couple different swr/pwr meters, thinking maybe I had a bad unit, but both meters report outputs of less than 1 watt. Mode doesn't seem to matter: USB, CW, whatever - all are less than 1 watt.

I'm about 1 year + out of warranty, so have nothing to lose. My googling has taken me to reddit, where a guys says he has a broke power amplifier.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? I'm pretty much a noob at stuff, so have no idea where to start. I'd rather not bin a $600 radio if I don't have to....

What are you using as a load, antenna or dummy load? What is the SWR of whatever your feeding the output into?

How do you know it¡¯s the final? I had one, same stuff going on. Disassembled it, one or two of my brass standoffs between the two boards were LOOSE. Google it and you¡¯ll see some folks have had Same

Also, it would be worth checking with Support at Radioddity, a Xiegu dealer.? They have a guy who seems quite familiar with the X5105 and its troubles.

Antenna. 20m dipole, with SWR of about 1.03 (Using the internal tuner.) Unaided = ~1.8

I don't. I'm not much of an electronics guy, so I'm totally clueless. I just was making a guess based on some google-fu.

I wouldn't know what specifically to look for once I start tearing into it.?

That's the outfit I purchased the radio from, but I'm about 18 months post-purchase. I guess I can give them a shout and see what happens.

Even better - you're a customer.? That's where I bought my X5105 too.? They do have a service man who has been quite helpful for many customers.
And it's pretty easy to email them and ask.? And free, too!? Nothing to lose but a few minutes at your keyboard.
